First Aid Classes To Begin At Koontz Lake Koontz Lak<- Conservation Club and Starke County Red Cross have scheduled Advanced First Aid Classes to begin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. April 6, at tho Conservation Club House. The classes are being planned for persons holding a Red Cross Standard First Aid Certificate, issued within the past three years, and for Advanced First Aiders needing the eight hour Review Training to maintain their current Advanced Certification. Koontz Lake Volunteer Firemen have requested the Course as a part of their Firemen's Training, and ask that the enrollment include any elgible First Aider. Frater George Grob. S.C.X, Marshall and Starke County First Aid Instructor, and Math Teacher at the Divine Heart Seminary, Donaldson, will be the Instructor. Assisting him will be the Starke County Instructors: Sandra Cook. Marcia Cooper, Alice Dipert, Mary Alice Roberts, Cristel Stineback, and Monagene Barbknecht. First Aiders are asked to wear comfortable clothing, and to bring with them to each session their own copy of the ARC First Aid Handbook, a 3" x 5 ft. roller bandage (may be commercial or torn from sheet), and a 40’’ triangular bandage from any cotton material of muslin weight, labeled with owner’s name. The latter may be made from a 40’’ square of bedsheet, feed sack, yard goods or muslin, rut diagonally to form a triangle.
