Mr. and Mrs. Harold Schweder and family and Fn*d Awald were dinner guests on Thanksgiving of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Awald and family. Mr. and Mrs. Francis Holland were Saturday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Clem Whiteman in South Bend. The Whitemans both have been quite ill. Guests over the Thanksgiving week end of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mechling and family were their daughter. Harriet, of Chicago, and son, EJob, of Bloomington, Indiana. Mrs. Ruth Fulks of Umitilla, Florida, and Mrs. Charles Pettigrew of Columbia City, were recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Houser, Mrs. Cora Burch and Mrs. Dorothy Burch, spent Thanksgiving Day with Dr. and Mrs. Welcome Miller and family in LaPorte. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Kelver and family of Plymouth were also guests. Vicki Bullinger, a student at Purdue University. spent the holiday week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bullinger. Vicki has been recommended by her Spanish teacher to be in a special Spanish class during the next semester. Ruth Frailey was home from Ball State .University, Muncie, for the Thanksgiving holiday. On Thursday, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Frailey and Ruth, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ruff of South Bend were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Rans and family in Bremen. Michigan, spent the Thanksgiving week end in Buffalo, New York, as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Nusbaum Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Jaquess of Owensville. Ind., were guests of Mr. Jaquess' sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Newton Williams, Friday and Friday evening. They attended the wedding of their grand-son. Kenneth Dunnigan of Owensville, and Miss Catherine Ann Wegner of La* Porte, Saturday In the St. Peters Catholic Church, LaPorte, at 11 o’clock a.m. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Beagles and Timmy, were dinner guests on Thanksgiving of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth King and family in Niles, Michigan. Mr. and Mrs. Anderson spent the remainder of the week with their son Terry, and family, in West Branch. Michigan. Terry is a State Trooper in West Branch. Thanksgiving Day was a very joyous day for Mr. and Mrs Paul Drake. Walkerton. The turkey dinner with all its trimmings was enjoyed by their guests. Mrs Anna Drake, Mrs. Minnie Snyder, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Lowry and Janies Drake, all of Walkerton: Mr. and Mrs. Randall Bryson of Pisgch Forest. N. C.: Mr. and Mrs. Robert T<mib. Crown Point; Miss Linda O'Connor, North Liberty. and their grandson. Gregory Dean Lowry. After dinner a »ong fest was enjoyed. A late afternoon snack was served, and the goodbyes were in order. The Brysons started for their home in North Carolina; Mr and Mrs. Tomb left for Crown Point, and the guests from Walkerton rvtunvd to their homes, and all was again quiet In the Drake household.
