Trick Or Treat For UNICEFI The United Methodist Youth Fellowship will trick or treat for UNICEF Sunday evening, October 30. beginning at 6:30 p.m. They will visit homes in the Walkerton and Koontz. Dake area. Each youth will carry an orange oarton with black printing "Tri( k or Treat for UNICEF . UNICEF is the United Nations Children's Fund. UNICEF is the only agency of the United Nations concerned exclusively with the welfare of children in the shadows of hunger, malnutrition, disease and ignorance. Each receiving government must assign high priority to the project, providing local supplies, buildingsand staff. Governments contribute an average of $2.50 in such services for each dollar spent by UNICEF. Governnu nts agree that this aid will go to childn n without regard of their color, creed, nationality or political belief. Hast year UNICEF” aided piograms for children in 115 countries. Church of Walkerton come to your door Sunday evning to say "Trick dr Treat for UNICEF". The Children of the World say "Thank You!" Returns From Mission Trip In Europe Mrs. Sara Williams. Rt. 2, Walkerton, returned October 10 from Finland and Stockholm. Sweden, where she served as a missionary for the Full Gospel Business Men's F'ellowship. International. Mrs. Williams was one of 139 missionaries that left Chicago on a S.A.S. chartered plane, Sept. 23, representing a wide cross section of many denominations in the U. S. A. and Canada. The group scattered into several Northern Europenh Countries, including Sweden. Denmark. Finland, Norway, Germany, Switzerland and Holl.mi. The purpose of the trek was to bring the gospel to persons of those countries. The F’ellowship is based primarily in North America, but has growing chapters in countries of all continents. It now embraces more than 100,000 laity an 1 clergy of about 40 different denominations. The Stockholm Chapter was host to the 1966 convention. The 1965 Woild convention in London sent mission teams to ten other European countries. There were six persons in the group with Mrs. Williams who were affiliated with the Chicago Chapter. Mrs. Williams states that the highlight of her trip was a visit to a university In Finland and meeting with the young boys and girls there. Mrs. Williams is a member of Bethel Temple in South Bend.
