J—— - □ DEATHS Z) — — — — — □ Mrs. Gracia M. Nusbaum Mrs. Gracia M. Nusbaum, 77 dM Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Walkerton Nursing Home. She was born August 2, 1889, in Middlebury, Ind. She had lived in Walkerton for 51 years. She was married April 5, 1906, in Middlebury, to Samuel Nusbaum, who died in 1947. Survivors include one son, Ray Nusbaum of Walkerton; one daughter, Mrs. Harold Short of Hamlet; four grandchildren; five great-grandchil-dren and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Clark of Walkerton. Services were held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Nusbaum Funeral Home, with Rev. Harold Williams, pastor of the United Methodist Church, officiating. Buri;J was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton. Walsh, 90, formerly of Rt. 3, Walkerton, died at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Crown Point. Graveside services were held at 10:20 a.m. Friday at the Gravertown cemetery. Rev. Anthony Letko of St. Patrick s Catholic church. Walkerton, officiated. Reinhold Schmanke Reinhold Herman Schmanke, 65. route 2. Walkcrt. n, died Sunday at his home apparently of a heart attack. Mr. Schmanke was a farmer and retired pharmacist. H ■ was born May 6, 1901, in Chica g) and was married Sept. 10 1921, in Chicago to Lillian Eichman. Surviving are his wife; two
sons, Kenneth, Walkerton, and Ronald, South Bend; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Nusbaum Funeral Home in Walkerton, with the Rev. Edward Koehneke officiating. Burial was in the Tracy Lutheran cemetery. Methodist WSCS Has Monthly Meeting The monthly meeting of the United Methodist Women's Society of Christian Service was held Wednesday evening, October 5, at the church. Mrs. Loren Goode, president, opened the meeting with a scripture reading. During the business meeting, a report of the Sub-District meeting held recently in South Bend, was given in the form of a skit entitled “The Giver and the Receiver,” by Mrs. Mary Bauer and Mrs. Clyde Bick Mrs. Walter Smith, secretary of Spiritual Life, announced that Quiet Day would be observed at the church October 25, at 10:30 a.m. A quiet lunch will be served by the Deborah Circle.

Also announced was that Mrs. Bauer has been elected to the office of District Secretary of Missionary Education and that Mrs. Leigh Roy Hahn Sr. is the new recording secretary of the subdistrict. A vocal duet "I Believe" was sung by the Misses Sandra and Carolyn Welch, accompanied by Mrs. Grace Atwood. Devotions were given by Mrs. John Bellinger. The program of "Christian and Culture" was presented by Mrs. Leland Welch, asBisted by Mrs. David Lawrence and Mrs. John McCombs. The meeting was closed with a prayer by Mrs. Bellinger. The Fellowship Circle served refreshments during the social hour, at which time the several guests were introduced. The Chicken Pie Supper scheduled for October 19, has been postponed until March 8, 1967.
