The United States Senate Youth Program was created for outstanding high school students throughout the nation to help broaden their knowledgi and understanding of Congress and the legislative process in our nation’s rapitnL Two students trom each state will be picked from the list of candidates submitted by the various schools for an all-expense trip to Washington, D. North Liberty Schools Plan Open House The North Liberty High School and Elementary School will have Open House Tuesday, October 18, at 7:30 p.m. in cooperation with the I’TA. It will begin with a general meeting in the new cafeteria, after which a tour of the buildings will be made, following with classroom visitation by the parents. With the opening of . these new facilities, it should be of interest to many parents and all are cordially invited to attend. The faculty members of both schools will also be introduced. PT A Fish Fry Is Financial Success Mrs. John Powell thanks everyone who helped with the ITA fish fry. The rooms with the highest ticket sales were Mrs. Alvin Boise. Ist. $7.00; Dick Kickbush, 2nd. $5.00; Mrs. Leonard Beaty and Curtis Sylvester tied for 3rd. $3.00 each. The pnx eeds will go to the elementary building in the spring.
