□ □ MARRIAGES □——— — — □ Hostetler - Ratliff Miss Teresa Lynn Ratliff, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George D. Ratliff, Mishawaka, and Richard Lynn Hostetler, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Hostetler, route 2, Walkerton, were married at 2 p.m. Saturday. September 24. at the First Brethren Church of North Liberty. The Rev. Roy Ritchie, pastor, officiated at the ceremony before an altar decorated with an arrangement of white gladioli and blue mums. Candles were at each side. Mrs. Becky Burch of North Liberty was the vocal soloist and Mrs. Leslie Loreman, North Liberty, the organist. Given in marriage by her father, the bride appeared in a floor-length gown of white silk organza over taffeta. It was styled with straight skirt featuring three lace tiers in back and extending into a chapel train. The bodice was appliqued with lace motifs embroidered with pearls. Her fingertip-length veil of Alencon lace fell from a petal crown adorned with pearls and crystals. She carried blue and white baby mums on a lace-covered white Bible. The maid of honor was Miss Linda Crumpler. Lakeville, Ind. Bridesmaids were Miss Terry Whitaker, Lakeville, cousin of the bride; Miss La wane Clark, of North Liberty, and Miss Ginger McCullough, Mishawaka. All wore gowns of sky blue georgette over taffeta, empire style. Bodices featured bell sleeves and a detachable shoulder t rain. Their headpieces were daisy wreaths holding veils. All carried colonial bouquets of blue and white daisies. Terry Locks, of North Liberty, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl and Danny Hostetler, LaPorte, nephew of the bride, groom, was the ring bearer. carried a basket of blue and white daisy petals. Wayne Rowe, North Liberty, attended the bridegroom as best man. Ushers were Mark Hostetler, North Liijerty, brother of the bridegroom; Gary Hostetler, LaPorte, another brother; and Dewey Ratliff, Mishawaka, a brother of the bride. A reception took place in the church social room after the wedding. The couple then left on a short trip to the north. They will make their home in North Liberty. The bride is a graduate of Penn High School. The bridegroom attended North Liberty High School and is a member of the Army Reserves. Weakly - Billings Miss Sherry Weakly and James E. Billings wi re married October 1 in the home of the Justice of the Peace James E. Ycazel of Plymouth. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Janies Ronald Weakly. 1400 Ohio St., Walkerton. The bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. James M. Billings, 705 Beerenbrook, Plymouth. The bride wore an aqua toned nylon over taffeta sheath styled with fitted bodice, scoop neckline and short sleeves. An overskirt with tailored bow closing at the back waist was worn. She had a corsage of pink carnations. Mrs. Jerry Brend’ was her attendant. She was attir d in a twopiece blue knit dress and wore a corsage of white carnations. The newlyweds will reside at Rt. 1, Grovertown An evening reception was held at the Walkerton Community Club for relatives and friends. Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Richard White, Plymouth; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Walter, South Bend; Mrs. Irma Weakly and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Adams and children. Bloomingdale, Michigan.
