Rachel Mullet To Be Installed As Worthy Advisor I Hiring .special ceremonies Saturday night. October 1, j n the Walkerton Masonic Temple, Miss Rmhel Mullet,, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Myron Mullet, will be installed as Worthy Advisor of Walkerton Assembly 61, Order of Rainbow for Girls.’The installation will begin at 7:30 o’clock. Walkerton And North Liberty OES Host District Walkerton Chapter 319 and North Liberty Chapter 290, Ordci of the Eastern Star, were host to the Matrons and Patrons of District 20 in the North Liberty Masonic Temple, Friday evening, September 23, at 8 p.m. Each member received a colorful lei as they registered. Both chapters had their shadow boxes in the East in the Chapter Room. North Liberty Chapter, under the direction of their worthy matron, Mrs, Gene Kuber, and worthy patrun, Elmer Hunt, opened the session and Mrs. Kuber read a welcome greeting to all present, and especially to the special guests, the "Roses and Buds". Walkerton Chapter, under the direction of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wulfenbarger, worthy matron and patron, continued the meeting, with LnUuduction and closing. Mrs. Ray Oberly, Bremen, Grand Conductress, was escorted to the west where she was met by Mrs. Elsie Johnson. Walkerton, who escorted her to the East. As they turned toward the East, Mrs. Kate Hiatt. North Liberty, gave a narration entitled "It Is No 84-. cret" accompanied by a choral group. Mrs. Edward Merrill, South B» nd. District 20. Deputy, was escorted to the East where she was met in the west by Mrs. Alfred Drews of Walkerton, who, presented her with a Bird of Paradise pin. after which she was honored with a song by Mrs. Kuber, "My Kind of Gai". Mrs. Merrill and Mrs. Oberly were presented gifts from the two chapters by Mrs. Wolf, nbarger. Grand Representatives and nth-

The "Roses and Buds", the name chosen by the Matrons and Patrons of District 20 present, attended from Bremen. Goshen, Lakeville, la-esburg, Mishawaka. Nappanee. New Carlisle, Os< eola, Plymouth. Elkhart South Bend. No. 2. St Joe Chapter, and Rose Croix Chapter, both of South Bend; Bristol. Warsaw, North Liberty and Walkerton Cliapters. Following the closing of Chapter, the gruup gathered in the dining room, where the tables were decorati-d with palm trees .and lotus blossoms. Each matron and patron received a gift from the two chapters. Mrs. Kuber and Mrs. Gene Spring-man of the North Liberty Chapter, dressed in Hawaiian costumes, sang two numbers, accompanied by Mrs. Flora Foreman. This annual affair is aimed at "getting to know each other" as the Lions Club realiaes the importance of the school and its teachers President Dvnsiow Doll presided over the meeting which had a large crowd at the American Legion Hall dining room. Harold Muncie was program chairman fur tiie evening. Claude Y<>rk. a former teacher, principal and superintendent in this Hchool system, was the speaker of the night. Hr gave a very informative talk concerning "Attitudes" and what can be done about them. Hr brought to light some very timely and interesting points that certainly left f<x>d for thought for all those present. The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 25, at the Walkerton Community Building.
