LEGISLATION: While practically every piece of legislation beneficial to veterans of World Wars I, 11, Korean and Viet Nam Conflict has held the full support of the American Legion, a greater membership will insure the success of future legist kitive programs. 8. JUNIOR EDUCATION Thru membership the veteran supports the teathing of sportsmanship and high ideals to the youth thru activities such as Junior Baseball, Boy’s State and Boy's Nation, Oratorical contests. Boy Scouts and the School Medal Award. 9. COMRADESHIP: Veterans enrolling in the American D-gion join a real outfit of he-men who served together in time of war. Friendships made in war service endure. Friendships made in the American Legion likewise endure. 10. VOICE HEARD: The voice of the single veteran is not heard, but the voice of millions of veterans in the American Legion is heard and heeded. Service to disabled veterans - to the widows of veterans and to their dependents is the cornerstone of the American Legion. Rainbow News Miss Geraldine Sticklev presided at the last meeting of her term as Worthy Advisor of Walkerton Assembly, Rainbow for Girls, Monday evening.
