LaVille then moved the ball deep Int Falcon territory but the Lancers failed oft a fourth down play and John Glenn took over again on their- own 26 yard line. A pass interception on the sec - ond play, gave trie ball to LaVille again as Dale Cramer snared a John Stasko pass on about the 46 yard line and raced back to the Falcons' 15. Two running plays netted one yard, but on the third down, quarterback Warren Vam । faded back and hit brother Wa\ne Vance in the end zone for a 14yard scoring pitch. This came with 11 15 to play in the first half. The try for the point after touchdown was no good on a kick and it stood 6-0. The Falcons again started moving the ball and went from their own 40 to the LaVille 22 where a fourth down pass failed and the Lancers took over. The rest of the first halt had no serious threat and the halftime seme remained 6-0. LaVille. Tile second half was a different story, rhe Falcons kicked off and recovered a LaVille fumble as the kick hit a Ram er front man and was picked up on the JG 49 yard line. The Falcons couldn’t advance the ball and kicked to the 15 where L,Ville started a long drive that featured a couple of long p|ay< The first play had Bruce Shidler running for 3s \atd an 1 a first down on the Fahou 1,, The kept the ball on the ground and found a real weakness on the left «ide of the John Glenn line to gain lonlmuoush until they had a fust and goal from the sum Tobv Heckaman blasted over from the four and it was 13-0 .ifter Shidler kick rd the p. int. One pass in the drive picked up 19 and Ken Wiegand capped the drive with a 10-yard run for the scoje. Again Shidler kicked the point ;m 1 it was 20-0 with 10 sec< nds left in the thud period. The kinivis struck with lightning quickness again just after the l ist period had started as they intercepted another pass aftei two incomplete ones had been thrown. Again it was Cramer an 1 he gave them tin- ball on the John Glenn 32 yard line. On the first play it was Vam to Vance again as Warren hit Waym with a 32-yard strike so the fourth TD This made the score 26-0 after the kick was blocked John Git nn again moved the ball until they got deep, but gave up possession on another fourth down play. The ball ch. nged hands again when LaVille fumbled. but as ttie Falcons set their sights goalward again, the thud interception of the night killed these chances. Heckainan interct pted this pass and moved to tin JG 26 yard line. A six yard run by Weigand, a pa>s to Dan Taylor and a three yard burst by Weigand, gave them their final touchdown with 3:2s showing on the clock The point after- kick was again blocked but this meant very little. Nothing of <-onsequeiice happened after- this only wh- n La- \ die took possesion again, they proved they were hungry .c Warren Wince w;u still throwing lom bombs that tell incomplete on three tries until the final whistle soun led.
