a continued success in athletics. In all truthfulness, a much larger school like Marian is out of the class of North Liberty and this will be seen again in competition with such schools as Jackson and LaSalle. The Shamrocks have a very fine football team and will have very good games with Jackson and LaSalle, but over the I years these will prove to be somewhat of mismatches as continually a small school will fall to large 1 schools with exception of fine ■ teams such as the Shamrocks

have had the past couple of years. THE SHA M ROCKS HAVE been extremely fortunate in their football history. They were started right and the acquiring of Jack Lowe to coach the team gave them a top-flight coach to get the program moving. Lowes knowledge of the game and his ability to pass this on to the boys plus the boys' appreciation of having such a capable coach, has made for harn ny that has nelped the progran tremcnlou - ly. He believes in hind work and has the respect of tl e boxs who are willing to give tin.-, effort to play the game. THIS SEASON FOUND THE SharnrocKs a little shorter of material than in the past as they are lacking in the depth that is needed. This is a veil important item in any sport, the depth you have behind those vno are regulars and the competition on the h., n for the starting spots adds grea’ly to the job of the coach. Having good men behind the starters picks up the slack if for any reason injury or other circumstances enter in the pi< ture. NORTH LI I ERTY WILL TRY to start a new streak this Friday as they I ttle New Carlisle. Once winning is started, it becomes part of playing the game. Despite the strong desire of the fans and players alike to win. Saturday night they were a fine bunch in def. at. No show of tempers, no alihies, and no visible signs of hard feelings other than the bitter t ste of defeat was in the mouths of the players and fans. This too. is a credit to the school rid ihe boys participating in fool hall. NORTH LIBERTY MUST BE congratulated on their fine record to date and it can be assured that they will return this Friday night with more desire than ever to continue along the winning waw which has become a part of their football proginm.
