SCHOOLS TO BEGIN FULL CLASSES
North Liberty Students Begin Sept. 6 Students in the North Liberty Schools will report on Tuesday, September 6, at 8:15 a.m. The school busses will operate on the regular schedules, bringing in the students for registration day. Students will be dismissed at 9:15 to be taken home on bus routes. Book fees may be paid throughout the day, until 4 p.m. All regular fees remain the same as last year, in the Elementary School they are $1.75 for kindergarten, per semester; and $4 per semester in grades 1 thru 8. Fees may be paid for the entire year at this time. All students are asked to pay the fees during the first week of school. Phys ed towel fees are $1.50 per semester in grades 6-7-8. Since fees are paid in the home rooms, parents paying by check are asked to have separate checks for each child. On Wednesday, September 7. classes will be held on the regular all day basis. The cafeteria will be open for this first full day of school. Hot lunch prices are changed somewhat this year. Elementary school pupils may purchase weekly tickets for $1.60; or the price on a daily basis will be 35c. Weekly lunch tickets will be sold only on Mondays, or the first school daj' of any week, after the opening of school. The high school lunch price is 35c daily, with no weekly lunch ticket available for purchase. The price of milk for North Liberty students remains at 3c per carton this year. Any students new to the North Liberty Schools, who are not yet registered with their respective schools, should do so on Friday, September 2, from 8 a.m. to 4 p. m. All reported kindergarten students have been contacted for an appointment during registration days. The three days. September 6. 7 and 8, are used for kindergarten registration. Kindergarten sessions will begin on Friday, September 9. Any part nt who has a child for kindergarten, and not yet on the school list, must have the proper medical papers completed, and should contact the school by Friday, September 2, so that the parent may be given an appointment time to meet with Mrs. Davis, the kindergarten teacher. To be eligible to enter kindergarten. a child must have reached his fifth birthday, on or before October 1. Pupils who plan to enter grade one and did not attend kindergarten, must also have the medical papers completed, and be six years of age on or before October 1. The Elementary Staff has onlv one change from last year. Mrs. Phyllis Davis is the kindergarten teacher. Mrs. Davis is a graduate of North Liberty High School, and received her Bachelors Degree from Manchester College last winter. She taught grade one at Swanson School the second semester last school year. High School Fees High School fees are $4.50 per semester for books, with an additional towel fee of 50c per day, per semester, for students taking physical education. All high school fees will be collected in the home rooms at 8:1a each morning for the first week of school.

He is a graduate of Indiana University and a senior in the University's School of Law. He is affiliated with Phi Delta Phi, legal fraternity, ana the Student Bar Association. The bride wore a gown of white organza with a scoop neck, kabuckl sleeves and A-line skirt with detachable train. The double crown with pearl and crystal trim held a two tier veil. Mrs. Joann Rhodes, Crown Point, was matron of honor. Miss Avis Collins, Gary; Miss Joanne Nedeff, East Chicago; Cindy Allsop. North Liberty, and Teresa Jurek, Whiting, were bridesmaids. Rich Allsop, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Robert Rusbasan and Thomas Rusbasan. brothers of the bride; Roger Rhodes. Crown Point, and Terry Wozniak, South Bend, ushered. The couple will live at 633 12th St., Columbus, Ind. POST OFFICES TO CLOSE MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 5 The Walkerton and North Liberty Post Offices will be closed Monday, September 5, in observance of Labor Day. 23 CU B TO MEET TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 6TH The 23 Club will meet Tuesday, September 6th. at 7:30 p.m. with Margerite O'Connor. The lesson will be Health Quackery, by Helen Loucks.

John Glenn Hosts North Liberty The John Glenn High School has announced the plans for the opening football game in regards to coming to Place Park Friday night. They would desire that everyone enter the park from the school walk to be channeled to their seats. The John Glenn section will be closest to the school with the North Liberty section across the field front the school. The charge to be taken will be 75c for adults and 50c for students. Ropes will be extended down the sidelines from the bleachers as a crowd larger than the seating capacity is expected. All persons without permission to be in front of these ropes are asked to remain behind them at all times so everyone has a chance to see. The refreshments this year will be sold at the pavilion in the park rather than in the school house. Game time Friday night is 7:30 p.m. Chamber Meeting Set For Sept. 8 The Walkerton Chamber of Commerce will have their September meeting at the Paddle Wheel Restaurant on Thursday, September 8, with the luncheon starting promptly at noon. Now that the summer season is over, an increased attendance is hoped for by those who are interested in helping this area through whatever means possible. Reservations should be made with the call.ng committee member who contacts you each month. Members of this committee are Branson Hiatt, Bob Urbin, Nick LaFeber, Roy DeSimone, Rev. Williams and Russ Rhine. Plan now to have your lunch that day and an hour or so with the Chamber of Commerce. Remember, it takes two— the Chamber and You.

PLJ Students To Registei This Friday The time schedule for buses on Friday. September 2, will be to deliver students to school at 8:00 a.m. The shuttle runs between buildings will deliver all grades for 8:10 a.m. starting time. School will be dismissed at 3:34 p.m. Parents may pick up the morning kindergarten students at 10:45 a.m. Afternoon kindergarten students will attend class from 12:30 thru 2:30 p.m. Walkerton students will attend in the afternoon unless otherwise notified. Parents please note that kindergarten students will not attend school until September 6. All Walkerton students in grades 7 and 8 will leave the elementary building at 8:05 a.m. for the Junior High School. Parents or students are urged to pay their book rental for the 1966-67 school year before the September 6 date. Rental must be paid in that building which a student will be attending. The first full day of school will be Tuesday, September 6. Hot lunches will be served for those desiring the service.
