tended. □ — n DEATHS □ — D Mrs. Zenia Vilnius Airs. Zenia Vilums, 56, of 310 N. Alain St., North Liberty, died at 8:15 p.m. Saturday in the St. Joseph Hospital, South Bend, after an eight-month illness. She was born Dec. 5, 1909 in Latvia. She had lived in North Liberty four years, coming from Louisville, Ky. She was married Jan. 5. 1910, in Daugavpilf, Latvia, to Broniflavs Vilums, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Edgar, of Louisville; a brother, Janis Lazdins, Latvia; two sisters, Mrs. Emilia Gutmi nis. England; and Miss Alinna Lazdins, Latvia. Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Palmer Funeral Home, North Liberty. Graveside services were held in Louisville Tuesday. Rev. Curtis Benson, pastor of the St. John's Lutheran Church, will officiate. Joseph W. Scott Joseph W. Scott, 61. of Rt. 1. North Liberty, died at 9:25 a.m. Tuesday in Memorial Hospital after an illness of seven years. Air. Scott was an employee of Western Indiana Gravel Co., Ind. 23. He was born on Nov. 23, 1901, in Benton, County, Ind., residing in North Liberty for the last 2'2 years. Before that he had lived in South Bend for nine years. He married Cordelia J. Harris, on July 11. 1946, in Veedersburg Ind. She survives along with four sons, Danny L., in Viet Nam, and James T„ Jay Barry and Jerry Wayne, all at home; four daughters. lola Jane, Betty Jean, Connie June and Grace Joan, all at home; a grandchild; a brother, Walter, of Walkerton, and four sisters, Mrs. Mabel Nuss of Medaryville, Mrs. lola Saltsman of Frankfort, Ind., Mrs. Rose Foresman of Lafayette and Mrs. Leah Marshall of Crawfordsville. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Palmer Funeral Home, North Liberty, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday. Rev. Dewey Findley, pastor of Sumption Prairie Methodist Church, officiating. Burial wall be in Sumption Prairie Cemetery.
