Mr. aid Mrs. Walter Stropc recently visited Mrs. Myrtle Strope in Nappanee. Mrs. Rodger Morris is a patient in Memorial Hospital. Her condition is improving, Mr. ana Mrs. Donald Bevel and daughters of Grand Rapids, Michigan, spent the week end visiting in North Liberty. Mr. and Mrs. Russell O'Connor recently returned home after spending a month traveling in Oregon and Canada. Mrs. Mary Perry of Big Fork, Minnesota, was the Saturday evening guest of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Taylor. Week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Snydef were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ried and family of Fort Wayne. Wednesday afternoon guests in the Bert Rudynski home were Mrs. Mary Romsicki of La Porte, Mrs. Richard Smith and D. nnna of Elkhart. Mrs. Russell Frazier of South Bend, and Mrs. Harold Schrader of Koontz Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Hilde brand, of Avon, Ohio, spent several days last week visiting Mrs. Hildebrand’s mother, Mrs. David Donathen and her brothers, Larue and Leland Donathen and families. Mrs. William Steele, North Liberty, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Steele and their son, Gary, of Benton Harbor, Michigan, attended the wedding of Ruth Williams and Lyle Holler in Rockton. Illinois, Sunday, July 24. After the wedding, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Steele and Gary journeyed to the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri, returning to spend Friday evening and Saturday with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Naragon were guests of honor at a surprise anniversary party Sunday afternoon in their home at Elkhart. Those attending the affair were Mr. and Mrs. Russell Naragon and Mr. and Mrs. Willard Naragon and family of Walkerton; Mr. and Mrs. Leo Friesner and family and Mrs. Garold Naragon ( f Osceola, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Naragon and family, and Mr. and Mrs. John Beron and family.

Sheryl Beron of Bloomington, •spent the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Beron. Mr. and Mrs. William Dutcher attended the Polk Township reunion hold Sunday at Tyner. The condition of Charles Wharton is improving in Memorial hospital. Mrs. Fannie Maurer of Orlando, Florida, visited Mrs. Edna Schrader last Friday afternoon. Mrs. William Shields of Diamond Lake, spent Tuesday in the Clem Mamerow home. Mrs. Virgina Rose was guest of honor at a surprise birthday party Thursday afternoon in the home of Mrs. Allen Balsley. She received many lovely gifts and cards. Mrs. Connie O’Brien and children of New Hall, California; Mrs. Clem Tuttle, Ray and Gerald of Walkerton, were Sunday evening visitors in the Frank Sims home. “Young Lords” Big Hit At Starke Fair “The Young Lords”, a combo band of local boys were described as a big hit at the Starke County Fair last week. They performed at the Starke County Democratic tent to entertain the crowd waiting to talk to the official present. Booked for the one evening, on Friday .they were booked for the Saturday event. Newly organized this was the boy's first public appearance and they have been practicing together all summer. They include Joseph Szady on the organ, Dennis Ream, drums; Mike Bell, Keith Dyer and Greg Steffen on guitar and Greg Back, vocalist. 5C POLAND’S MILLENNIUM COMMEMORATIVE STAMP The 5c Poland Millennium Commemorative Stamp will be first placed on sale at Washington, D.
