Week end guests of Mr. ano Mrs. Norman Taylor and Vicki were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Allen of Indianapolis. Adam Mann Jr., accompanied by his father, spent the week end in Oakland City, Indiana. Adam will enter Oakland City College as a freshman this fall. Miss Marie Faive of Clinton, lowa, and Capt. Geraldine Tom, U. S. Army, stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, were house guests of Mrs. Ellen Brede last week. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Shultz and two children arrived last Friday from Houston, Texas, for a two weeks visit with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Masterman and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Shultz. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gorsline and family of Indianapolis are spending this week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Gorsline. Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Enfield of South Bend were Sunday afternoon visitors of the Walter Gorslines. Alfred Drews, Grand Lecturer of District No. 1, Order of Rainbow for Girls in Indiana, and Miss Lorraine Mullet, Grand Prompter, attended a reception and inspection of Hope, Indiana Assembly No. 110 last Saturday and Sunday. The reception honored the Grand Worthy Advisor of Indiana. Miss Patti Paetzel of Hope, Indiana. Sunday guests at a family dinner in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Mutchler were their houseguests. Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Heim and Mrs. J. R. Cotton of St. Petersburg, Fla.; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hedburg, Becky and Carl of Roselle, Illinois; Dr. and Mrs. Ross Lawrence, David and Amy of La Porte; Mr. and Mrs. John Wolff, Debbie and Jeff; Mr. and Mrs. David Lawrence and Mr and Mrs. Howard Ross. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Baxer were guests last Thursday evening at a family dinner in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Reed, honoring Mr. and Mrs. Millard Heim who are visiting here from St. Petersburg, Florida. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Howard Miller and Mrs. Florence Weise of South Bend; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Kizer, Mrs. Ruth Bare and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Heim of North Liberty; Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Mr. and Mrs. James Howard and children of Wheeling, Illinois, spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Agnew Ludwig and sons, and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Howard. Mr. and Mrs. James Wood and family arrived Tuesday evening from Santa Ana, California, for a visit with his sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lute and his mother, Mrs. Emma Wood. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Harris of Louisville, Kentucky, stopped in Walkerton last Thursday and called on several local people. Mr. Harris was principal in the Walkerton schools in 1919 and 1920. Dr. and Mrs. Bryce noarer and children, Kenny and Kathy, returned Sunday from a vacation trip to the Rocky Mountains. They' made their headquarters at the YMCA camp in Estes Park, Colo., a camp with organized activities for all age groups. They also visited relatives in Abiline, Kansas, and Colorado Springs.

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Beagles and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Miller, spent last Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Cowan in Greencastle, Indiana. Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Heim and Mrs. J. R. Cotton of St. Petersburg, Florida, have been houseguests of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Mutchler the past two weeks. Mrs. Heim and Mis. Cotton are sisters of Mrs. Mutchler. Mr. and Mrs. Robert .Pugsley and family returned home last Thursday after spending two weeks visiting Mr. Pugsley’s sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Wagner of Daytona Beach, Florida, and his brother, Sgt. and Mrs. Edgar Pugsley and family in North Carolina. Mrs. Ethel Zahrt, who recently moved from Walkerton to South Bend, has been a patient in the South Bend Memorial Hospital. She is residing with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Barkowski, 1860 Portage Avenue, South Bend, until she gets located.

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Groves and family returned home Thursday evening from a two weeks vacation at the Black Hills in South Dakota, and a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Ora Harder and family at Rib Lake, Wisconsin. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Groves and family in Phillip, Wisconsin, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Calhoon and family in Grand Island, Nebraska.
