PAST MATRONS AND PATRONS PLAN PICNIC The annual ptank: of Past Matrons and Past Patron* and their families of the Walkerton Chapter, Order of Eastern Star v|H be held at the Stunts Pine Forest ClUb House Sunday, July 31 at 1 o'clock. Members are to bring a covered dish and own table service. Mr. and Mna George Ferverda are general chairmen, assisted by Mr. and Mrs. Walter Jackson and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Handera.

FLOWER SHOW TO BE HELD JULY 28TH The annual flower show, sponsored by the Walkerton Better Homes Demonstration Club, will be held at the Tovh Club Thursday, July 28. Anyone wishing to enter garden flowets should have them at the club house between 1 and 3:30 pm. Grover Opl‘nger •will judge them. The public is inv'ted to visit the show’ from 6:30 to 9 in the evening. More informaton utill be available next week.
□- — D DEATHS □ q ; DaLob B. Awald DeLois Richard Awald, 47, Rt. 3, Walkerton, died unexpected^ in his home at 1:10 p.m. Tuesday. He was bom January 14, 1919 in Gravertown and lived in that ar. ea all has life. He was owner of A & A Enterprises of Starke County. He was married March 17, 1940 in Tyner to Bertha Rupert. He was a member of the IOOF Lodge in Walkerton and Loyal Order of Moos* at Knox. Surviving are Ms wife; five sons, Peter of Rt. 3, Walkerton; Timothy, Paul, Mark and Daniel, all at home; two sisters. Mm. Marjorie Knepp, North Liberty, and Mrs. Katherine Emmons, of Walkerton, Ma mother. Mm. Maude AweM of Rt. 3, Walker, ton; one grandson and one grand-daughter,-Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. in the Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet, with Rev. Claude Keiser officiating. Burial will be tn Grovertown cemetery. Friends may call anytime. NOTICE The John Glenn High School Band Concert has been postponed from this Friday to next Friday, July 22. There will be a Jr. High Concert at Tyner, July 28, at 7:30 pm. In the Tyner gym. NOTICE Dr. Frash will be on vacation July 14 and 18.
