Several complaints have been heal’d over the Fourth of July program in Walkerton. Despite the hard efforts of the committee in charge and the participating organizations, this year was one that vlll be remembered as having difficulties. To start with, the usual balloon ascension and parachute drop, always a great favorite in Walkerton, had to be passed due to the fact that the balloon and parachutes of Prof. Claude Shafer were destroyed In a fire. Another balloon is in the making, but simply could not be readied in time for this year's program. Insurance problems this year necessitated the moving of thg aerial rockets of the fireworks.
