Walkerton and the parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Stroup, South Bend. Mrs. Nelson Walz, Walkerton, played the nuptial music. The altar was decorated with palms and candelabra. The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a floor length gou|n of white organza over taffeta, the bodice was accented by a lace applique, scalloped neckline and elbow length sleeves. The skirt was finished with a chapel train. She carried an arrangement of white carnations and green ivy, with satin streamers and lovers knots, on her Rainbow Bible of white. Her finger tip veil was held in place by a tiara of sequins on satin. Miss Donna Smith, sister of the bride, served as her attendant. Her street length gown was of green, sheath styled, accented by an overbodice. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations, accented vVth green satin ribbon. Her headpiece was of pleated ribbon. Richard Kellogg, South Bend, served as best man. Ushers were Roger Nusbaum, Valparaiso and Larry Ruggles, Plymouth, brothers in law of the bride. A reception was held in the church social room following the ceremony. A three tiered wedding cake centered the serving table.

Miss Shirley Ross, Walkerton, presided at th e coffee service. Miss Karen Neal, a college chum of the bride, cut and served the cake and Miss Bobbie Weiner, Knox, presided at the punch bou|. The Misses Janet and Diane Stroup, both of South Bend, were in charge of the guest book. The bride is a graduate of Walkerton High School and received her two year secretarial
