Williams . Smith Miss Rebecca Ann Williams and Charles DeVon Smith wer e united in marriage, Saturday, June 11 in the Walkertan United Methodist Church. The double ring ceremony was performed at 2 o'clock with the bride s father, Rev. Harold Williams, officiating. The altar was decorated with cathedral vases of white mums, four seven-branched candelabra and flanked v.|ith palms. White alatin bows marked the pews. The bride is the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Haro'd William?, 503 Indiana St., Walkerton and Mr. and Mrs. DeVon Smith. 800 Illinois St., Walkerton are the parents of the bridegroom. Mrs. Grace Atwood, Walkerton was organist and Mrs. Kenneth Klinedinst was the soloist. Jack Clouse, Rockford. Ohio, a friend of the couple, gave the bride in marriage. The bride chos^ a floor length gown of Chantilly lace with fitted bodice, scalloped neckline, long sleeves tapered to bridal points. The crepe sheath skirt vlis fashioned with an Empire waist, enhanced with a chantilly lace shoulder train, trimmed with iridescent sequins. The three tiered silk illusion veil was held by a two tier crown of lace, trimmed with seed pearls and aurora crystals. She carried a cascade bouquet of white carnations, interspersed with white net, satin streamers and lovers knots Mrs. Norman Pi rsonette. Mshawaka, was matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Miss Joanne Williams, sister of the bride; Missps Carol Wilson and Kathy Theis, all of Walkerton Their gowns were identical floor length pink crepe and lace. The lace bodices were fashioned with round neck and above the elbow length sleeves, with a modified Empire crepe sheath skirt, accented by a back interest of a lace panel and bow. Their head-
pieces were forward plateaus of niff led organza with aurora crystals and pearl drops, holding th'! double bouffant veils of pink. Each attendant carried a bouquet of medified pink camat’.ors. Little Miss Linda Chapman Walkerton, wearing a gown ’d< ntical to the attendants’, scattevd pink petal* from a white oask-t as she walked down tne aide. Master Dean Brennen of South Bend carried the rings on a white satin pillowl. Donald Brennen, South Bend in charge of the guest bo oktsy was best man. Ushers were Terry Tolman. New Carlisle; John Reisner, Marion; Charles Winger, of Greentown, Ind.; Robert Gunn, South Bend; and Robert Ingram, Walkerton. Mrs. Williams chose for her daughter s wedding, a mint green three piece summer knit with matching accessories. The bridegroom’s mother wore a blue enst mble v.fthe matching lace coat and blue accessaries. Both wore corsages of white carnations. Miss Diana Golubski, South Bend, was in charge of the gu«st book. A reception followed the ceremony in the social rooms of the church Pink and white decorations were used. The ladies of the church were in charge of the reception, v.fth Miss Janlse Downs cutting and serving the cake; Miss Janet Ray serving the punch, and Miss Cindy Storey the coffee. A five tiered decorated cake centered the bride’s tabi?. Mrs. Maxine Wolfe and Mis Bertha Urbin were in charge of the gift table The couple left for a brief wedding trip to the Wisconsin Delia, after which they will be at home at Manchester Mobil Estates, Box 305, North Manchester. Smith will enter his senior year at Manchester College this fall. He is employed for the summer at the North Manchester Foundry. Following the rehearsal Friday night, the wedding party were entertainjd by Mfr. and Mi^ Smith.
