A’. » ■ ’ji A&* ■ O ? j _ Miap Gerri Stickley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Stickley, Rt. 2, Walkerton, was installed as Worthy Advisor of Walkerton Assembly No. 61, Order of Rainbout for Giris, at a public Installation Saturday evening, June 3, at the Masonic Temple. Installing officers were Mias Barbara Lady, Columbia City, installing officer; Mbs Lorraine Mullet, marshal; Miss Kathy Stickley, South Bend, recorder; Miss Laure. Jo Thornburg, chaplain; Mrs. Fred Daniels and Miss Phyllis Daniels, soloists; and Mrs, Bertha Urbin, organist. Mrs. Robert Lidy, Mother Advisor, greeted the guests and introduced her daughter, Barbara, who in turn introduced the installing officers. Miss Stickley wore an aqua georgette ovir wi tin gown, styled with, am empire waist line, as she whs given her obligation. As she turned from the altar the soloist sang “I Believe”. Her ystar, Miss Nancy Stickley presented her with a gavel from her family. In front on the east dais was a picture of Christ and the open Bible on a background of white satin "Christ Above All” are her chosen viatchwords; her song, “I Believe”; her flowers, aqua tipped white carnal tions; and her colors, aqua, gold and white. ~, «• The newly installed worthy advisor introduced her family and special friends and asked the installing marshal to escort her parents to the east. With words of love and appreciation, Mi&i Stickley presented her parents with gifts an|d the soloists sang, “I’ll Be Loving You Always." Mrs. Alfred Drews, Grand Chairman of District 1 was intro, duced. The worthy advisor, junior past, M 4 as Donna Smith, pinned the vlorthy advisor's pin on Mise Stickley. Mss Smith was giv n her past worthy advisors pin by Miss Gerri, wfeo escorted Miss Smith through the Bow where she received charm* for her bracelet, representing the Statens she had held. The small charms were attached to flowfcrs the color of each station and were placed on a co’onial bouquet base of white styrofoam. Rev. Harold Williams, pastor of the United’ Methodist Church. Walkerton, gave the benediction. NL Kindergarten Has Family Picnics The kindergarten classes of the North Libej ty Elementary School enjoyed an evening of fun and food in tlie form of a family picnic on the school grounds. The morning sessi.cn pupils and families held tiuirs on Monday, May 23, and the afternoon class enjoyed their picnic on Tuesday, May 24. Thei'e were 250 in attendance. The kindergarten and smaller children thoroughly enjoyed themselves as they played on the recmtly installed playground equipment. On Friday, May 27, the classes took a field trip to the St. Joseph County Airport The group was taken on a conducted tour by Clarence Dean. The children concluded their activities for the year by observing and having explained to them a most unuwial insect collection by being introduced to Japanese song and devnce as given
