Skip Knight, son-in-lavl of Mr. and Mrs. Russell O’Connor, received his BA degree in Business Administration from Southern Oregon College, Ashland, Oregon. Leo Woodruff of Benton Harbor and Mrs. Madge Wilson of South Bend were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Snyder. Afternoon visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Tom Lamirand and family of Anchorage, Alaska. Mrs, Pauline Laskowski attended the Equipment Workshop held in the Civic Center at LaPorte. The workshop is sponsored by District 10 Indiana State Nurses Assn, ujth 107 participants. Mrs. Laskowski teaches at the Holy Cross School of Nursing in South Bend.

Mr. and Mrs. James Ulrich of Benton Harbor visited Mrs. Stella Ulrich Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Creech of Cleveland are visiting in the Allen Balsley home. Mr. and Mrs. Willie Rice of Rensselaer are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Harris Hovhrd and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Mlekodaj this week. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Tribbey of Lakeville were Sunday afternoon visitors of Mr. and, Mrs. William Dutcher. The Keith Dutchers of South Bend were supper guests. Mrs. Jeanne Htibbard and Mrs. Blanche Rust of Orlajtdo. Florida, and Mrs. Stella Ulrich were Friday evening guests of the Bert Rudynski family, Sunday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Fred DeCoudres attended open house at the First Methodist Church, Mishawaka, honoring Mrs. Hattie Stark on her 100th birthday.

Gentry and Muss Marjorie Gentry vlere dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Max Steele and family. The occasion was in honor of Mrs. Gentry's birthday. DEATHS □-■ — □ Joseph J. Malstaff Joseph J. Malstaff, 67, of Rt. 3 Walkerton, died at 8:25 a.m. at Starke Memorial hospital, Knox, of injuries in a two-vehicle crash a short time earlier at the intersection of two Starke county roads north of Hamlet. Mi’s. Malstaff was also injured but vias released. A retired farmer, he was born Feb. 28, 1899 at Dudzeele, Belgium, and lived in the Walkerton community 57 years coming from the South Bend area. He whs married March 30, 1918 in St. Joseph Mich, to Laura Stickley who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Leonard of Mishawaka: Harry of Walkerton and William of F^sli Lake; one daughter, Mrs. Catherine Hostettler of South Bend; four brothers, Morris of Union Mills; Peter of Walkerton; George of South Bend and James of Chicago; one sister, Mrs. Mary Huhnke of Walkerton, and several grandchildren.

Funeral services ulere held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Walkerton, with Rev. Anthony Letko officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Ceme-tei-y. Tri Kappa Initiates Six New Members Six new members were initiated into Epsilon Chi Chapter of Tri Kappa Thursday in the United Methodist Church, Walkerton. They vtert Mrs. John Bingaman, Mrs. Ernest Brovoid, Mi's. Roy DeSimone, Mrs. John McGovern, Mrs. George Robinson and Miss Virginia Wray. The candlelight service was conducted by Mi's. Stanley Orcutt, president. Preceding the ceremony, members and initiates attended a dinner in the Paddle Wheel Restaurant. A former member, Mrs. Errol Van Buskirk of Allegan, Michigan, was also present. The next meeting, will be a pot luck dinner at noon July 7 in the home of Mrs. Orcutt. Installation of new officers will be held at that time.
