Ax assault cliarge signed by Dennis Cripe resulted in the rert of I^eonard Elder, a fine < ’ $17.25 was paid by Elder when h pleaded gulty. The offense ocenred in the Cripe home where

Wallace Harman, of Hartford, Michigan, was arrested by the State Police on a reckless driving charge vtiich stemmed from some wild driving in which several mail boxes were demolished and the truck Hannon was driving was turned ovex. He paid $19.25. Harmon wa« also ticketed for being off his PSCI route and paid the maximum fine allowed through a Justice of Peace court, $11.25. Walkerton police arrested Harold E. Tuttle of Walkerton on the charge of driving a car with improper registration plate and paid $19.25. Robert Winstead was arrested by local police or. a speeding charge which netted him-a fine of sl9 25. North Liberty police arrested William Graves on a charge of drunken driving which resulted in Graves paying $28.25 and having his driving rights suspended for six months. Norman Cooley, a truck driver from Sandy Lake. Pa., was picked up by radar patr 1 by Indiana State Police and paid $19.25 for speeding 60 mph in a 50 mph zone. Troop No. 17 of Walkerton Girl Scouts. Cadet Class, visited the local Justice of the Peace Court and sat in on a trial to observe how justice was dispensed. This meeting wlaj arranged fbr by Lynn Pk-kavet. a member of Troop 17. About fifteen girls were is attendance. This i s a project for which they are working towards eamng merit badges. Mrs. Forest Boone was the group leader. Walkerton rouco were busy the last few days on accident arre-ts and investigations. Their activities resulted in the arrest and fine to the follovtng: Everett Wolfenbarger, Walkerton; and William S. Jackson, LaPaz. were arrested on charges of leaving the scene of accident-. Bot.i pleaded guilty and Wolfenbarger drew a fine of $23.25. Jeckson fled the scene on foot and caused considerable effort on the part of the police in his apprehension. He was fined $28.25. Charles Ogle Jr., of North Liberty. was arrested on the charge of failure to yield the right of way, which resulted in a property damage accident. Ogle was fined $19.25. Kenneth Brovtn of Argos, was arrested and fined $28.25 on a
