Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Stahly, of •06 IHinois Street, Walkerton, will oteerve their 50th wedding anniversary May 1, 1966. They were married in Nappanee. Indiana on February 3. 1916. Mr Stahly has been a farmer all his life and the cowpie lived in the Walkerton vicinity for the test <6 years. From IMI to 1946 he was araeeiated with the Waßcerton Supply Co. Fite Dept. Puts N. Liberty Waiting Svsem In Effect Having just experienced another tornado warning. the North Liberty Volunteer Fire Department put our tornado warning signal in use. This continue to be the warning signal in us whenever there is a funnel spotted in this vicinity. This mean everyone should be prepared to take immediate shelter. They would like to ask the people in the community not to call on the fire phone seeking information about the weather conditions. In case a tornado would hit th ► is the only communication wi would have for getting help, provided the phones are not out. We u(ou d like very much to be able to have our trucks radio equipped so when there was a tornado in our vicinity, we could dispatch a truck to each comer of the township. Then if he p is needed, we would be able to get help in any part of the township in minutes. As it is now. all trucks are in the station and should it be h t, u|e can do nothing. Anyone wi hing more information on our warning system, contact one of your local firemen.
