North Liberty OES Installs New Officers Mrs. Don Ktiber and Elmer Hunt were installed worthy matron and pntn>n of North liberty Chapter 290, OES, in a ceremony at the Masonic Temple in North Liberty on Tuesday even ng Watchwords chosen by Mis Kuber are "Seek Ye the Truth", and her atm is to promote a bigger and better OES locally. Her colors are bright red with a touch of white, and her flowers arc red roses and other fl- ■wens in season. Her symbol, a cross and cup. v'as placed in front cf the pedestal in the east, and two topiary rose t "ees, a basket of red rose*and potted plants completed the decorations. The worthy matron wore a gown of red taffeta, fashioned with an A-line skirt and an overdrape. and the officers wore similandy styled gowns of pink chiffon. Introduced vdere the installing officer, Mrs. J. S. Kubort, a past matron of Dowagiac. Michigan, chapter, and a sister-in-law of Mrs. Kuber, and her assistants^ Mrs. Jerry Nelson, marshal; Mrs. Cecil Hay, chaplain; Mrs. Hiram/ Rupel, secretary: Mrs Ernest Klein, treasurer: and Miss Lucy McEndarfer, organist. Al! are past matons of the local chapter. Mrs. Gene Springman was soloist. Mrs. Kuber was escorted to the altar, where slhe was given her obligation, and then to the east Mr. Hunt vhs given his obligation and escorted to the east by his song, John and Jerry. Others installed were Mns William Snyder, assoc ate matron; James Wolfe, a-xsociate patron; Mra Harry Brodzinski. treasurer; Mrs. Harold Fisher, secretary: Mrs. Kent Palmer, conduc ress; Mi«. Chamber To Meet April 14 At Paddle Whe e ! The Walkerton Chamber of Commerce vlill have their regular April meeting on Thursday. । April 14. at the Paddle Wheel Dining Room. Lunch will begin at 12 noon. Clarence Gay. district manager of the Plymouth District for United Telephone Company of Indiana, will be the speaker f or the meeting. He has served tnis job for the past year and a half and has been with the telephone company for several years. The group will also be welcome to ask questions concerning the telephone c >mpany and service at this time. Reservations for the dinner should be made as soon as possible to the calling c mmittee. Tlk' Chamber is completing plans also for a Indies’ Night program to be held on Tuesday, May 3. Dinner will begin the proceedings in the Walkerton Elementary Sch&txil at 7:00 p m. Tickets for this program are on sale through the board of directors and are $2.00 per peitaon. Dr. Bryce Rohrer and Dr. Max Hobbs are co-chairmen of the event. After Prom Party Committee To Meet There will be a meeting of the committee for the Walkerton After Prom Pairty on Tuesday, April 12, at 8 pm. in the (fining room of the Paddle Wheel Restaurant. Mr. and Mrs Trobaugh presented the retiring matron and patron with the jewels of their office Mrs. Kuber asked the Grwer Ophngej-s. past matron and patron of Walkerton chapter and parents of Mrs Wolfe, to preside while the Wolfes signed the memory’ page in the Bible Mrs Kuber sang "The Lx>rd Is My Shepherd" to them The Mizpah benediction was given and the officers retire*! A reception followed for about 150 guests The .serving table vtis covered with a white linen cloth and centered with an arrangement of red roses and white tapers in red liokiers The outstanding attraction kn the dining room was a white trellis flanked with climbing roses.

Hari Shafer Receives National Feo ball Honor Word has been received that Hari Shafer, co-captain and most valuable player on the Nrrrth Liberty Shamrocks undefeated football team this past year, has been selected to the 18th Annual Prep All-American Football Squad for 1965. The selection was made after evaluation of information receiv d from high school coaches from fifty states, sportswriters, sportscasters and college scouts who either coached these boys, or observ-'d them in action at close range Indiana had eight selections on this All-American Squad.
