Jack Watkins left Friday for San Diego. Calif. He enlisted in the Marines and will be stationed there for ten weeks. Mrs. Grace Lambert spent last week in South Bend visiting her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Vermillion. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wilkerson returned Sunday from Florida. Mr. and Mrs. Gus Verkier retumed from Anna Maria. Florida, on Thursday, after spending a couple of months in the sun. Week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Burch were Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Hathaway of Grand Rapids. Michigan. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Knowlton and family were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Willham Harrel and family in Argos. In the afternoon they attended the 50th wedding anniversary celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew L^ffert in Argos. Mr. ar»l Mrs. Leffert formerly lived in this area. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Watkins Sr. returned last week from Florida where they spent a two weeks vacation. They stopped at a brothers', the Russel] Watkins, in Terra Oeia. They visited the Raymond Dagleys in Naples; then to Key West. They were guests on the way home of their daughter in Cincinnati, the Clifford Stevens family. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Snodgrass entertained with a family dinner Sunday to honor the 68th birthday of the latters' mother. Mrs. Minnie Everhart. Present were the Rudolph Higgenbotham family of Beech Grove. Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. Porter Patterson and daughter of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Jensen and children of Indianapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Fleming. Dayton. Ohio; the Russell Snodgrass family of Gary; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Olds and daughter. Plymouth: the LeRoy Clapper family; and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Clapper and family and Jimmy Snodgrass.

Lima, Peru, Bolivia, Buenos Aires, Uruguay, Paraguay, Brazil, Rio De Janeiro where she witnessed the famous and noted Carnival. dating back to the ancient Greek Roman religious holidays.
