He was returning home after visiting in 1 Edwardsville, 111. According to the St, Joseph County Sheriff's lH*pirtment, Taylor had st >pped in Decatur for gasoline and suffered the attack while at a service station. He had been a deputy for the last year and a half. Taylor lived with his wife. Margaret. at 1106 Oiiio St Walkerton. He was born (November 8. 1919. in Hamlet. Raymond, of Hamlet H was past commander of Orville Easterday American Legion Post 189. and a number of Walkerton Masonic Lodge 619. F &• AM. Friends may call at the Nusbaum Funeral Home. Walkertun. where services will be held at 2 pm. Thursday with Rev. David Eder. co-pa.stor of the United (Methodist Church. Walkerton, officiating. Burial will be in the Fletcher cemetery. Hamlet. The American Legion will conduct graveside military services. Mr>. Hazel Bennitt Funeral services for Mrs. H;. ' 1 Bennitt, 75. Rt. 4. LaPorte. were held at 2 pm. Saturday in the Nusbaum Funeral Home. Rev. Ray Davis, pastor of the Salem Heights Methodist Church, officiated with burial in the Woodlawn eem tery Walkt rton. Mrs. Bennitt died March 21 in Holy Family hospital, LaPorte. She was bom Oct. 2, 1890, in LaPorte County and was married Oct 20, 1922. in LaPorte County to Leßoy Bennitt who survives. She is also survived J y one daugh" ter. Mrs. John Waltman, of LaPorte: a step-daughter. Mrs. Henry I Murphy of LaPorte; three sons. Clyde Cavin and Donald Bennitt of LaPorte and John Bennitt of Selma, Ala.; 18 grandchildren; three great-grand-children, and one brother, Vern Dipert of Plymouth.
