Tyner PTA Has Busy Meeting The Tyner PTA met Monday evening with Mrs. Myron Mullet presiding. The minutes of the previous meeting were read by Mrs. Bernard Erir kson with the treasurer's report given by Airs. Robert Hendricks. The order of business followed until the decision to purcha curtain drapes with a black-out feature fur the assembly hall as HUgge ted by Rolla B iumgai trier, principal. Baumgartner also announewi seventy entries o far for the Arts and Craft contest to be held May 1 at the Walkerton Elementary School. The contest is sponsored by the Walkerton ami Tyner ITA and Tri Kappa. A nominating committee composed of Mrj. Ned Haag. Mis. Ellen Lehman and Kenneth Gillies Hnnwncwl a slate of officers for the 1966-67 PTA year, which were Alfred Johnson, president; Mrs. Leslie Dunkin, vice president; Mrs. Robert Bauss, secretary; and Mrs. Robert Hendricks, treasurer. The announcejnent was made by co-chairmen. Mrs. Keith Gardner and Mrs. Robert Hendricks of the forthcoming Band Patrons Fish Fry’ to be held April 1 at the Tyner gym from 5 to 8 p.m. Please contact either of the chairmen if you can help or donate a pie. The Athletic Boosters will '•bling the Tdis of Fiui to ths Walkerton High School gym on March 29. The preliminary game at 7 p.m. will be the LaVille faculty vs the PLJ faculty. Combs was given a musical score on which the officers pine d a musical note as words of appreciation and pra se were spoken. A pair of Bluebirds of Happiness faring white satin streamers with all officers nimes inscribed thereon, was given them, a gift from the chapter. Clever songs were sung by their officers to both Mr. and Mrs. McCombs. During the business meeting', Airs. McCombs thanked all mem(bers and her officers for the r cooperation the past year. She gave a resume of the achievements and their participation with the d strict and Grand Chapter during her term of off ce. Memorial services wer e held for Airs.
