February 8. in the office of the Superintendent of Schools. Walkerton, with the superintendent and all members pre ent. Fallowing roll call, the agenda was presentd and the following action was taken. On a motion by Dr Carter, secon.ed by Mr. Smith, minutes for the January’ 25, 1966 meeting were approved unanimou ly as read Claims 557 thru 608 were presented for payment and the proper warrants drawn. Mary’ Lee Loucks of North Liberty, was emloyed to supervise the Walkerton 4-H Club activities during the summer program foi 1966 The Board received lx da for a new 66 passenger »chool bus body and chassis. Coach bids were > übmitUid by Leonard Supply Co., of Silver Lake. Indiana, for a Super ior coach; Schoolcraft Inc., of Indianapol s. for a Wayne coach and Imperial Equipment of Lafayette. for a Bluebird coach Chas is bid> were «übm tted by Powell-Mann Chevrolet-Oldsmo-bile Co.. Walkerton, for a Chevrolet chaissi and Lawmaster Pon. tiac Inc., of Plymouth, for a GMC cha*asi. All bids were taken under advisement to investigate the optional equipment. Equipment considered optional for some bids was included in other bid* as base euqipment. The superintendent was advised to make a complete study of all bids and to prepare a report for the Febniary 22 regular meeting
The uperinlendent reported that an Monday, February 7, faculty visitation day. the Polk-Lin-coln-J olmaon faculty visited twenty different schools xn the surrounding area. A full faculty report concerning the visitation will be prepared for the February 22 board meeting The hupenntendent reported concerning curriculum development for the 1966-67 school year. The board voted unanimously to pay tuition expan es for twx» corporation teachers to atttend a ten week r< ad ng class to be held in th- Plynuaith High School begmning February 21. 1966. The Orrgon-Davis School Cor|M>ration was grunted apprin-al to rent the Tyner gym on May 17, 1966 for a school commencement.
