Rainbows Elect Officers In Walkerton Mis^ Celesta Erickson preside i as Worthy Advisor for election of officers at the regular meeting of the Walkerton Assembly Rainbow for Girls. Monday evening. Miss Donna Smith will be the new worthy advisor. Geraldine Stickley associate advisor; Linda Pontius. Charity; Rachel Mullet, Hope; and Sue Skinner. Faith. The charter was draped in memory of Mrs. Madge Waymire. Grand Chairman of District 3. who passed away Aug. 27. and for Mrs. Isaura Stephenson. Grand Deputy of District 15. who passed away Sept. 12. Miss Smith announced the date of her installation for Saturday. February 12. Walkerton OES Members attending the regular meeting of the Walkerton OES Jjuiptcr Tuesday nig nt, Jan. 4. enjoyed seeing the Bible and Floral Degrees presented lor a new member, Mrs. Cail Shores. I Totems for these ceremonies were Mrs. Mary Bauer.m Miss Linda Lembach and Mrs. Lae Welch. Proteins for the line officers were Mrs. Walter Jackson, William Stemwald and Mrs. Edward De Vos. Mrs. Betty Griffith of Laporte, was welomed as a visitor. Worthy Matron. Mrs John McCombs, announced that th*« next meeting on January 13 will be Friends Night. Each officer will invite a guest to share their station for that evening She urged each member to bring someone who does not attend regularly. Mrs. Eduard Peterson, president of the post matrons club, announced their next meeting will i>e held Tuesday evening. January 25, at the Paddle Wh— 1 for a 6:30 dinner with the meeting at the Temple afterwards. Hostesses for the social hour were Mrs. Edward DeVos, Mrs. Dan Giftakla. New Carlisle WSCS Visits Walkerton SjN»clal guests at the Walkerton Mrthixlist WSCS meeting Wednesday evening. January 5. were ladies of the New Carlisle WSCS. Mrs. Mahlon Jacob, president, opened the meeting with a m ditat ion from the Upper Room and a welcome to the guests. During the business meeting an invitation was extended to attend the meeting of the Rebecca Circle at the home of Mrs. Ray Chapman. Monday evening, Jan 10. ThU circle chose for this year's study, the 'Different Religions". A guest speaker was to explain the 7th Day Adventist religion at thia meeting. A six weeks course, "The Christian's Calling.” was announced to begin later this month. The youth of the church are Sponsoring a Goodwill drive this month. The worship table was centered with a tree and the open Bible. Mrs. John Bellinger presented the devotions. The twelve fruits that should adorn a tree of life were explained tn verse as Mrs. Goode and Mrs. Bellinger placed the miniature font on the tree by the following members: Mrs. Gale Sherland, Mrs Wayne Cover. Mrs. Brute Fitzgerald, Mrs. Sam Frame and Mrs Maxine Wood. Th- fruits represented evangelism medical work, literature, children, serving youth, home and family life, acts of Christian life, economic justice, international friendship, Christian virtue of temperance and world peace.
