Mr. and Mrs Erroll Van Buskirk and son. left Walkerton this week and moved to Michigan. Their new address is 1256 Bridge Road. Allegan, Mich. Mr and Mrs Glen Stahly and sons and Mrs Ernest Corner returned Saturday after spending the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Stahly in I^ake Placid, Florida. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs Richard Anderson Jr, and family, were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Anderson Sr. and Mrs. Anna Drake Afternoon guests were Mr. and Mrs Ernest Sanders. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Malstaff were called to Cleveland. Ohio, Sunday night as Mrs. Malstaff's mother suffered a heart flare-up and cannot continue her trip to the east coaat. The Malstaffs returned Monday night with her mother, Mrs. Jessie Haden of Laguna Beach, Calif Mrs. Haden is just fine hut must be confined to bed for several weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. James Capek and family and Mrs Bertha Crbm were Sunday dinner and supper guests of Mr and Mrs Bruce Fitzgerald Mr. an । Mrs Kermit Parcel and family of Winama« and Mm Judy Crist and Harold Ix*hman of Star City were dinner guests last Sunday of Mr and Mrs Branson Hiatt and family. Mr. and Mrs Claude Watkins Jr. and family of Gary, Mr. and Mrs Clifford Stevens anti family of Cincinnati. Ohio, were guests over the New Year's week end of Mr and Mrs. Claude Watkins Sr . Murray and Jack. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wooley were called last Tuesday to Albion. Michigan, because of the illness of Mrs Wooley’s mother. She was hospitalized early Wednesday morning and passed away Thursday morning Funeral serv-ice-i were held Sunday with burial at Fenton. Michigan 2 Lt. Mark Bierly left Fnday for San Francisco after spending the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floy*l Bierly. Lt. Bierly graduated on Dec. 17 from the Brooke Army Medical Center, Ft. Sam Houston, and is assigned to duty in Korea, as a medical officer with the 7th infantry. I Mr. a^nd Mrs. Ralph Jackson were guests of honor New Year’s Eve at a party given by Mr. and Mrs. Jack Tick and Mr. and Mrs Norris Bussie commemorating the Jackson* tenth wedding anntwr«mry January 1. Other gu<*st* were Mr. and Mrs. John Bingaman, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Sullivan, Sharon Ullery ami Bob Ingram. The Jacksons were surprised with a tiered cake decorated with a bride anti groom, flowers and bells used on their original wedding cake. Mr and Mrs Leonard Beaty returned Friday evening from Las Cruces. New Mexico, where they apont the Christmas holidays with their daughters Mrs Lloyd Freeland and Mrs Richard Roberts and families in the Freeland home. They were accompanied by Mrs Beaty's sister. Mrs. Robert Reeder. They also visited their brother. Orren Beaty and wife, then Mrs. Reeder went on to California to visit with her three sons The Beaty* returned byway of Louisiana and Mund*wppi and enjoyed some of the scenic and historical spots in Vicksburg. Memphis ands Nashville on their way north. Skiing on Cloudcroft under the light* Christmas Eve was a thrilling eight on the way out.
