Tri Kappa Has Anniversary Party Epsilon Chi chapter of Tri Kappa observed its fifth anniversary with a dinner Thursday in Irvin’s Restaurant, South Bend. All 27 members from Walkerton attended the event. Two former members also were present. Mrs C. Emmet Eller, Mishawaka. and Mrs. Elliott Ecash, South Bend. The dinner table was centered with a white tiered cake decorated with the Tn Kappa emblem ar>! topped with a big number five. The cake was baked and served by Mrs. Errol Van Buskirk. Following the meal. Mrs. Bryce Rohrer, vice preddent, summarized ace mph hmer.ts of the chapter during the last five years. Each year the group gives a S2OO scholarship to a Walkerton High School senior and presents hoo>r awards to top graduating students at Walkerton and St. Patrick elementary schools. In the area of charity, the chapter has paid dental fees for needy children and assisted faanilies whose homej have been destroyed. To promote culture, members give a tea each year for Walkerton High School senior girls and their mothers. Other contributions Include annual Christmas gifts to Beatty M< monal Hospital in Westville, and Izigan School m Mr hawaka.
