Mrs. Richard Crcagmile of Muncie, came Tuesday for a few days visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Houser. E. Paul Shi k of San Diegu, California. visited his mother, Mrs. M. B. Slick over the week end. Paul is Chief Engineer of Research and Advanced Technology lor General Dynamics. Sunday guesn of Mr. and .Mrs. Walter Gorsline were Mr. and Mrs. Hershel Enfield of South Bend. In the afternoon they attended the Sacred Music Concert at the F irst Baptist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Dunzcro and sons of East Gary were week end guests of her mother. Mrs. Hazel Barden. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Harney of South Bend were Sunday guests. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Bardi n and son of Elkhart were Monday evening guests. Mrs. Glen Trost and Elvin White left last Wednesday to attend the funeral services of the four younger children of Mr. and Mrs. Al White in Side I-ike. Minn. The children were burned fatally in their home around midnight last Monday. Their ages range from I to 13. They are survived by their parents, a sister and brother. Mrs. Nellie Purdy returned home from South Bend last Wednesday afternoon after attending the wedding of her great nephew, David Gentner. ‘On of Mr. and Mrs. Rueben Gentner of South Bend The bride was Alana Wilson of r "hicago. Little League Pirates Have Party Sunday The undefeated Pirates of the Walkerton Little League Majors concluded their victorious season Sunday. were served. Coaching the boys in their winning game was Don Ludwig. The Pirates 'beat out the Walkerton All-Stars at the annual 4th of July game 16-10. The most runs scored in one game was 21 runs in Spinnings which was called by a two hour curfew. The closest game score was a four run margin. Nine of the 14 team players will graduate to Pony league status for the next season. Pitcher Rob Kaser had one shut out and hit two hi me runs over the fence and Don Hendricks struck out 18 in one game, had one no hitter, and had one home run for himself. The rest of the line up included Steve Hendricks, catcher: Chuck Minter and Rick Benson, first base; Mark Malstaff and Ix>ren Calvin, 2nd base: David Ludwig, 3rd base; Kaser and Hendricks short stop; David Naragon and Danny Stokes, left field; Jim Lute and Robert Mellin, center field: Gary Buswell and David Stanley, right field.
