Koontz Lake News We regret to report the passing of Serge Mankell, age 71. He is the only brother ot Mr.- El ie Swanson and has been residing with her thus summer. Mr and Mrs. Richard Palmer were honored at an open house Saturday in North Liberty in observance of their 25th wedding anniversary. The couple renewed their wedding vows in a ceremony performed by Rev. Paul Loucks of the Koontz Like United Missionary ^hurch. and Mr and Mrs. Kent Pa’mer of North Liberty acted ns attendants. A buffet st vie lunch was served. Two intertwined hearts formed the cake which was trimmed with pink roses, tiny’ belli and two dovei encircled with a pair of silver we Ming rings. The cake was cut by the couple’s daughter Mrs. Howard Lipke. The couple was married September 16. 1940 in Wjuihineton. D C They have two <ons. Robert at home. Gene attending Indiana University, and a daughter, Alynn. A family dinner preceded the affair.
