A co-oper-ative dinner was enjoyed at noon. The afternoon was spent playing shuffleboard. horse shoe pitching, pontoon riding, swimming and visiting.

The first fall meeting of the Walkerton OES will be held Tuesday evening, Sept. 7, at 8 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Newton Williams and Mrs. Ellen Brede spent Sunday at Gun I^ake, SJxelbyville, Mich., and attended open home for the 2."ith wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Chase. Mr. and Mrs. John McCombs, worthy matron and patron of Chapter 319. Order of Eastern Star, entertained the r officers and famildes at a picnic at their Koontz Lake cottage Sunday. Mrs. Ewart Farrar. Walkerton, ami Mrs. Lilly Carlson, of Woodland Hills, California, were luncheon guests of Mis. Farrar’s daughter and family. Mr. and Mrs. George Bock in Columbia City, last Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Davies and daughter, moved this week to Bloomington. Indiana, where Mr. Davies will work on his Masters degree, Mr. Davies t\ught math in Walkerton high school last year. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kerchaert and four children of Dearborn, Michigan. and Robe t Kerchaert of Highland Park, Mich., and Mr. and Mr . James Kerchaert of Mill Creek, were tecent guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kerchaert Paulina Vandall entertained at a surprise birthday party for Sandy Adkins on her eleventh birthday. Those enjoying games refreshments were Georgeanna Parks Nancy and Marcy Jackson, Lynn Stasko, Cheryl Zimmerman, Debbie Mercer, Sherry ant Bobby Frame.
