Mr. and Mra. Ronald Wright and family of South Bend, spent last week visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rhea Wright. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Kinney and family of Tyner were Monday evening supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd H. Dankert. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Urbin and Mrs. Bertha Urbin were in Wakarusa Sunday at the. homo of Dr. and Mrs. John Guttman and family to help celebrate Cindy’s 6th birthday. Mr. and Mrs. William Helm and sons entertained wit,h a cook out last Saturday evening for Mrs. Heim’s brothers and their famp lies who are here visiting relatives and friends. Present were Dr. and Mrs. Max Clark and four daughters of Dearborn. Mich.; Dr. and Mrs. John Clark of Winfield. Til.; and Col. and Mrs. Robert Clark and son of Augusta. Ga. Mrs. Red Gaddis entertained last Thursday with a cookout supper for Mr. Gaddis and their daughter, Kathy Ann’s birthday. T.hose present were Mr. and Mrs. Hutty Gaddis and Jerry. Mr. and Mrs. William Martin. Mr. and Mrs. Al White. Karen Ann and Jeff and Lennie and Margaret Gaddis. During the evening, homemade ice cream and cake were enjoyed by all.

Mr. and Mrs. Newton Williams attended the annual picnic of Wins Little Chicks”, Matrons an<l Patrons of OES in 1956. held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Kreps in South Bend, Sunday. Mrs. Clay Filer, of Lake Wawasee, Syracuse, has been visiting the Rev. Filer family. She was honored at a surprise birthday dinner which was served at the parsonage. Mrs. Susie Fall, Mrs. Ida Herl, Mrs. Brook Bowers, Mrs. Iva Freeman, Mrs. Lucy Ullery, Mrs. Anna Wray, Mrs. Pearl Stull, Mrs. Bertha Wolfenbarger, Mrs. Ray Carbioner, Mrs. Maude Kellogg, Steven Dill, Mrs. Clay Filer, Rev. and Mrs. Filer, and Ricky, Scotty, and Davy Filer.
Mr. and Mrs. Joo Kerchaert have just returned from a two weeks trip to Eagle River, Wis. Mr. and Mrs. U'onard Platz and family of Tampa, Florida, arrived Wednesday for a visit with her parents and family, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Lung. Mr. and Mrs. John Richard Seitz and son of McLean, Virginia, spent the past few days visiting their mother, Mrs. Vera Seitz and oth r relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Angelo of San Carlos, California, visited Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hinz Monday afternoon. Mrs. Angelo la the former Marjorie Ryder, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ryder. Mrs. Fred Harris of Chicago spent from Thursday to Sunday visiting her mother, Mrs. Frank Dunn. Mr. Harris and daughter. Margie and friend came Sunday and Mrs. Harris returned home with them. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Beaty and Mr. and Mrs. Edgar C< Ie and sons, enjoyed an outing at the Chain of Likes State Park Friday evening. They called on Mr. and Mrs. James Farrer in Bremen on the way home. Mr. and Mrs. Duwayne Pavey and girls spent the Ith of July holiday camping in Michigan, and then went on down to Southern Indiana. They visited with Mr. and Mrs. Albert Chew and Mr. and Mrs. William Loche in Gr< ensberg, and Mrs. Pavey’s sister ami family, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schmit in Smithville Ind.
