We do not love God and obey God’s commandments because we tear punishment. We are not constantly reminded that a good Christian life holds forth the promise of salvation while a life of sin and error determine eternal damnation. Instead. we strive to please God by doing good, by being good because we know that the way of God is perfect. We shall never attain perfection in this life, but we can. through love, seek the promise of salvation. Our motive is not fear, but faith. Read your BIBLE daily and GO TO CHURCH SUNDAY '< __
