Annual WSWS Convention Meets At Syracuse The fourteenth annual convention of the Indiana Conference North Brunch of the WSWS of the EUB Church, met at Oakwood Park, Syracuse, June 15-17, 1965. Miu. V. A. Carlson, Branch president, presided during thj sessions which were filled with inspiration and information by the guest speakers and Branch membership. Di. Dewey Eder, recently retumud from Beirut, Lebanon, an 1 Mary McLanachan, editor of World Evangel and recently returned from a tour of our church work in the Orient, gave much up to date information on world religious conditions and trends. Mrs. Rosa Page Welch, of Chicago, who has received a medal for “distinguished service in the . cause of brotherhood” and Miss Alta Becker of Dayton, an outstanding Bible student using the Book of Romans, brought us much food for thought and inspiration for the coming year. Mrs. Fred Bullinger, local president, Mrs. Leonard Beaty and Mrs. Robert Reader, attended the convention as delegates. TEENS GnT TEA ‘•Hie ’Koontz Lake United Missionary Teems, under the leader.ship of Mrs. Robert Brown, entertained the Vacation Bble .School teachers and workers at a tea Friday at the church Hud' y Peters played a piano solo. Naney Thornburg welcomed the group ,'and introduced the speaker, Mrs. ..Richard Reilly, who is the wife of the Foreign Secretary of the United Missionary Society Mrs. Reilly showed colored slides of .her re -ent trip to our mignon . stations in India. The goodly number of visitors were much appreciated Last Sunday. There is a friendly welcome to everyone. Beth Donathen is attending the Methodist Church Camp at Battleground, Indana, this week. Mrs. Clem Lightfoot returned home Saturday from Memorial hospital, where she received medical treatment for one weak. Lisa and Nancy Peich, of New Road, were Tuesday overnight guests of Beth Donuthen. Delores Matzos Indianapolis, spent last week-end with h«r parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clem Lightfoot. UNITED MISSIONARY UMS MET THURSDAY The Women's Missionary Society of thd Koontz Lake United Missionary Church held their monthly meeting Thursday in tho home of Mrs. Bernard Thompson. Mrs. James Clark conducted the meeting. The lesson wag given by Mrs. Robert Brown. Ilie ladies voted to give a bedspread to the Missionary Children’s School Home at Jos, Nigeria, and some children's clothing to be sent to India. BERNARD & MIKE WESTHUES ELECTED TO AMERICAN ANGUS ASSOCIATION Bernard and Mike Westhues, of Walkerton, have been elected to membership in the American Angus Association at St. Joseph, Missouri, announces Glen Bratcher, secretary. This membership was one of 365 issued to breeders of registerul Aberde n-Angus in the United States during the past month. BIKE STREAMERS TO BE GIVEN BY N. L. LEGION The American Legion of North Liberty will have available for boys and girls with bikes, red. white and blue streamers.
