Mr. and Mrs. Walter Jackson returned home this past week end from the Osteopathic hospital where they have been patients since April 23rd. They will be confined to their home for several weeks. LaPorte. iHe will be moved to a South Bend h 'spdal in a few days to be under the care of a neurosurgeon. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Landen of Zephyrhills. Florida, are visiting their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Theobald. 505 Van Buren St. Thev will be present to see their granddaughter. Nancy, graduate from high school Tuesday and attend open house this Sunday afternoon. May 23.

Mrs. Alfred Drews entered Osteopathic hospital Thursday, May 13, for observation and treatment. Mrs. Guy Mutchler has return-• ed from St. Petersburg, Fla., where she spent two weeks with her sisters, Mrs. J. P Cotton and Mrs. M. E. Heim. Recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schmeltz were Mrs. Bertha Reinhardt of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs Norman Jones and family, and M and Mrs. Webb F\oto and son. Danny, of Michigan C tv; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Mark and family. Niles, Michigan; and Mr. and Mrs Paul Kolmer and family. of Fort Wavnc Last Thursday the Schmeltzfe^ took Mrs. Reinhardt and Mrs. Ne'Vr Baughman of Lakeville to Fort Wiyne and spent several days with the Paul Kolmer family.
Mr. and Mrs. John Crambert returned from Mayo CUnic in Ruvucsor. ..oum. na, last week, where Mr. Crambert underwent observation. Tami, Traci and Troy Baker of Bremen, and Karla Baker of Walkerton, spent the week end with their grandparents, Mr. and Mas. Everett Baker. Mrs. J. C. Cites und Mr. and Mrs. Albert Weisjohn of Plymouth, a*tended the funeral of Clarence Mi^er in LtCrosse today (Thursday). Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Orcutt were in Champaign, Illinois. Sunday and Monday to attend a Regional Locker Plant Convention. Mr. Orcutt was elected director of the Indiana Locker Association. Mbs Kathleen Mil\igan, of Park Ridge, Illinois, was a guest over the week end of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Kemp, and attended the Walkerton JuniorSenior Prom last Friday night. WaVy Johnson, accompanied by Jim Ridenour and John Johnson, participated in th< regional track meet at Gary last Friday afternoon. Wally qualified to enter the meet by placing in the Shot Put event at the sectional, track meet at Mishawaka. Friday. May 7. Week end visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Anderson Jr. and family were Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Conley of LaPaz; Mrs. Ben Price and Sharon, and Larry Hostetler of North Liberty; also Mrs. Russell Snodgrass and daughter, Carole, of Gary. Mr. and Mrs. George Parks have as their house guests this week. Mr. Pa"k’s brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. William Praks and sons. William and Steve, of Trinidad. West Indies. The guests p’an to visit relatives in North Dakota before deciding on where they will settle. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Smith and daughter and Mrs. Kenneth Smith of Oblong. Illinois, spent the week end with Mrs. Genevieve Dailey. Mrs. J. C. Cites, who had been visiting in Oblong the past month, returned home with them. On Sunday, the Rav Smiths, Mrs. Kenneth Smith. Mrs. Dailey and Mrs C tes. were dinner guests in LaPorte. of Mr. and Mrs. Hartman Tracy. Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Lindgren were also guests. Rev. and Mrs. Benny Miller entertained the ministers and their wives of the communitv Tuesday evening, with a farewell dinner honoring Rev. and Mrs. John Hall who wiV be leaving in 'June for Ow^s^o.
