Oak Lawn, I!\. and Sam Stevenson, of Chicago, were guests of the Ferraris. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bonifield and children of Chicago Height-;, Ui;, were guests of Clay Bonifield Bunday. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Lawrence returned home after spending several days in Nashville. Tenn., as guests of Mrs. Mabel Ballard, a cousin of Mr. Lawrence. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Mehler returned home after spending ten days in Detroit, Michigan, as quests of Mr, and Mrs. James Holzbach and children. Mrs. 1 Holzbach is a daughter of the Mehlers. For the next two weeks, the Holzbach family will be the guests of the Mehlers. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Paquette spent Sunday in Lansing, 111., as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wilson and family. TOWN OF NORTH LIBERTY, INDIANA SEW AGE DISPOSAL PROJECT ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS DIVISION B - SEWAGE TRE\TMENT PLANT AND INTER( EPTING SEW ER SYSTEM The Town of North Liberty. St. Joseph County. Indiana, will receive sealed bids for the construction of a sewage treatment plant and interc pting sewer system until 7 p.m. C.D.S.T. on the 26th day of May, 1965. at the Town Hall, North Liberty, Indiana, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The plans, specifications anu bid documents for the proposed project aro identified as DIVISION B - SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT AND INTERCEPTING SEWER SYSTEM. The work includes the furnishing of all materials and the construction of all facilities complete and ready for operation as follows: Intercepting chamber and sewer, grit chamber with mechanical cleaning and comminutor, control building, oxidation ditch and rotor type aerator, circular final clarifier, sludge lagoons, piping, valves, plant sewers, grading, fence, electrical and all other work and appurtenances as specified. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance and labor and matarial bond. The manufacturer of the aeration equipment will be required to furnish an acceptable performance guarantee. The. contract documents, including plans and specificatios, are on file for examination at the office of Clyde E. Williams & As-
sociates. Inc., Engineers, at 1902 N. Sheridan Ave., South Bend, Indiana, and 720 East 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana, and at the office of the Clerk-Treasurer, North Liberty, Indiana. Copies of the documents may be obtained from the SOUTH BEND office of Clyde E. Williams & Associates, Inc., by depositing Fifty Dollars ($50.00) for each set of documents so obtained. The full amount of the doposit for the first set of documents will be returned to each actual bidder who returns all documents in good condition within ten (10) days after receipt of bids. One-half of the amount of the deposit for all other sets will be refunded upon their return in good condition within ten (10) days after receipt of bids. Proposals must be submitted on the forms bound in the Specifications and Contract Documents. The Town of North Liberty, Indiana, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. Each bid snail be accompanied by a statement from a responsible surety company advising the Town of North Liberty that if an award of contract is made to the bidder that said Surety will provide a Performance, Labor and Material Bond in the amount of 100$?- of the total bid as specified on Page 1-4 of the Instructions Io Bidders. A certified check or bank draft payable to the Town of North Liberty, Indiana, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company in an amount equal to 5% of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. In lieu of the bid security and statement from the surety company, the bidder may submit a combination bid bond and performance and labor and material bond. The aw’ard of a contract will be subject to the sale of revenue bonds for financing a portion of the project cost. The other portion of the project coat wiH be furnished by a Federal grant through the U. S. Public Health Sendee. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least thirty (30) days. The bid guaranty of the successful bidder, who is tendered a tentative award of contract, may be held for an additional period of forty-five (45) days to complete the .successful sale of revenue bonds to finance
