Mrs. Harry Mechling and daughter, Nancy, were guests of Harriet Mechling at Indiana University for Mother's week end. Mr, and Mrs. Terry Anderson and son, Mark, of Benton Harbor, and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Beagles were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Anderson. Mr. Clark has retired from the Navy. Arthur DeMyer, Fred Williams, end Kenneth Knowlton attended ’he L.P. Gas convention held at the Conrad Hilton Hotel in Chicago Sunday. Mrs. DeMyer and son. Craig, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schober. Mr. Schober and Craig attended the double header ball game between the WWte Sox and Minnesota Twins. COUPLE TO CELEBRATE 40TH ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. Glen Anderson will mark their 40th wedding anniversary at an open house from 7 to 10 p m.. Saturday, May 8, at the Carlyle School house. The party is being given by their four children, Gilbert. Dean and Larry Anderson, and Mrs. Lee Letter. No invitations are being sent but all friends and relatives are invited.

Claude Stogsdill and Mrs. Roscoe Sarber serving. The gift table was decorated with white and gold with several pots of yellow mums, gifts from friends. The gifts were opened by Mrs. Ed Klopfenstein and Mis. Glen Rodgers. Another smaller table held a beautiful go\d bowl with one dozen yellow roses and candle holdivs to match, a gift from their children and grandchildren. Miss Rosalie Matz, only granddaughter of the Matz's, and Miss Myra Ross, had charge of the guest book. Mrs. Betty Matz Brown acted as inside greeter. Also helping were Mrs. Ben Smith. Mm. Mrs. Charles Ruff, who will be 91 years young May 16th. was also present for the occasion. County Line Club Holds Meeting In Teegarden The County Line Club met Friday evening. April 30, in the R .N. Nursing Home in TeegarI den. with Mrs. Laura Hathaway ' and Mrs. Carl Creech as hostess- ' es. Mrs. Hathaway conducted a tour through the Home before the meeting, which was held in the social room. Roll call was answered by members relating their most embarrassing moment. Door prizes were awarded to Mrs. Ervin Stuntz and Mrs. Wilder Burnsides. Games were played, after which delicious refreshments were served. Attend Church Sunday
