Council Status For Walkerton K of C Club Council status for the Walkerton Knights Club was realized Wednesday night, April 28, when their group was instituted as the St. Patrick Council. Knights of Columbus, at St. Patrick School hall in Walkerton. There are 51 registered members. The men had organized as 'hi first Knights dub in the st te of Indiana on April 20, 1964, with 26 members. All but the five officers were signed up as new members of the Father Tremmel Council of Plym. outh. who were sponsors of the dub. Four local men. members of long standing of the Plymouth Council, founded the Walkerton Knights Club, going out and contacting new members from the Walkerton area. They are Kevin Huffstetter. who has served as president this past year: Harry Malstaff as vice president; Jorrv Groves, secretary; ond .h hn Garnb Jr.. Latin Club Has Annual Party Mrs. Guttman s Latin I and H t classes enjoyed a Roman banquet Wednesday night. Apri\ 28. The evening was started with a Roman wedding Marrj>tm Cole, the bride; James Naragon, the groom; Kenneth Murphy, father of the bride; Elaine Knowlton, mother of the bride; Colldlte We’V.'r. ma. tron of honor; and Jerry Feece. the priest, make up the wedding party. Each returned to their scats, then Baibara Wilson read the Lord's Prayer in Latin. The slaves, Larry Charles. Penny WiL i hums, Elsie Baugher and DarVrnr Weller, then served the first ; course of deviled eggs and vari- ; ous veg. tables. After Nancy Chapman made the offering to i the Lares, the second imam) course was served. This course, prepar- d by Mrs. Walt Baker and Mrs. Stanly Betz, consisted of grape drink. Vienna loaves. French fried potatoes and special Itahan-style hamburgers. The play. ‘ How the Unicorn Got Its Horn.' was given with Bi’J Hiatt as the Unicom and Diane DoV as the Goddivs Diane. Elaine Knowlton wrote an 1 directed the play and Jame.; Naragon prov ided the effects. The wedding cake, made by Mr. and Mrs. Ted Feece. was served along mi th fruits and nuts as the third and fina’ course. Mrs. Guttman then presented Collette Welder an 1 Kenneth Murphy with awards for being the best d tossed Roman bqy and girl, The surprise of the evening was Miss Geesaman’s entertainment on her ukulele. Guests included Mr and Mrs. John Guttman. Mrs. Maxine Wood. Miss Bran isdoi-f and Miss Geesaman. Mr. and Mrs. Ams’.w were unable to at end. Minnetonka 4-H The Johnson Township Minnetonka 4-H Club held a Mother's Tea for th-ir mothers and the local Home Demortration Club. It was held May 3. at the Community BmWing.
