Former Resident Is Recognized For Invention Arnold K. Jonnson, a former Walkerton resident, has received recognition in a recent article, publisiied in the Journal of Research, National Bureau of Standards of Engineering and Instrumentation Magazine, Washington, D. C. Johnson has perfected a new invention which has been accepted in the scientitic wot Id and a theory on which he based his calculations has been proven successful. This concerns the increased convenience and precision of two Picnometers, which provides tlu» determination of the density of liquids. J hnson’s improvements over the former Collett picnometer has reduced the number of measurements and simplifies calculations in routine density and volumetric
determinations. A highly explanatory article was published in the Journal of Research, volume 64kNo. 1, January-March 1965. and may be obtained tiirough the Government Printing Office for 75c. Johnson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Johnson, formerly of Clarks Addition. Walkerton, who recently moved to Charlottesville, Virginia. Arnold is a graduate of Walkerton High School in 1948 and received his B.S degree from Valparaiso University in 1957. He has been with the Bureau of Standards in Washington since 1957. He is now working on his Masters degree but was interrupt, ed by being called by the US. Navy to do research work in supervisory capacity in Washington. He was married in 1961 to Olga Jiminez of Lima. Peru, and resides with his wife and two daughters, Frances and Linda Elizabetii in Bethseda. Maryland. Attend Church Sunday
