Alencon lace appliques in the front and a self bow at the back waistline. A crown ot pearls and iridescent crystals held her veil of silk illusion. She carried a cascade bouquet of white carnations and white roses featuring a center of red sweetheart roses. Miss Linda Krmg. North Liberty, was the maid of honor lor her sister. Bridesmaids were Mias Janet Baughman, Tecgarden, Ind., and Miss Kathy Thau, South Bend. They wore dresses of peau satin with fitted bodices, scoop necklines and three-quarter length sleeves. The floor-length bell skirts had unpressed pleats at the waistline and were fashioned with detachable flying panel back drape. Their headpieces were white fur pillbox hats. The attendants carried while iur muffs with arrangements of red sweetheart roses with holly leaves and velvet nbbon. Best man for his brother was Terry Knowlton. David Kring, brother of the bride, and Terry Edison, were groomsmen. Ushering were Merlin O'Connor and William Bettcher. All are from North Liberty. i The bride's mother wore a winter while wool knit two-piece dress with brown accessories. The bridegroom's mother chose a , dark blue crepe dress and jacket with black accessories They each , had two cymbidium orchid*, Mrs. Krings in brown. and Mra. Knowlton's In white. After a reception in the church social rooms, the couple will travel in the east, returning Jan. 2, to be at home at 613 Park Ave., South Bend. The bride, a graduate of the Greene Twp. High School, is attending the South Bend School of Practical Nursing and will be graduated in January. The bridegroom was graduated from North Liberty High School, attended the South Bend-Misha-waka Campus of Indiana University, and is now attending American Jet, Inc.
List Winners Os Decorating Contest The winners of the five cash prizes for outdoor Christmas Decorations have been named by the judges in the Walkerton Chamber of Commerce annual contest. The winners will receive their checks after the first of the year. The judges reported many very attractive decoiationa this yea* and stated that it was very difficult to pick just five out for special recognition. In the lowm and on rural routes, a large number of displays of the seanon and colored lights decorated homes, yards, doors and windows. One street in Walkerton. Clark Street, in the Roselawn section, featured almost every home with some kind of outdoor lighting. Winners listed by the judges are: Ist place: William Rhodes, route 2. 2nd place: Warner C.ark, Clark Street 3rd thru sth places: William Clark, route 3; Dwight McKesson, Monroe St.; and Charles Wooley, 1000 block of Ohio St. The first and second places will pay 115 and 110 respectively with the three third places paying $5 each. Plans for next year call now for a larger contest with more prizes to be given, possibly In categories. This was revived late in the year by the Chamber of Commerce Board and felt this year this was all that could be handled. It is hoped that even though this season Is just passing by. that people will give a little thought to the contest and brightening of the season next year by participating tn the activity of seasonal decorations.
