Liberty To Honor All Fall Athletes The North Liberty High School and Junior High School Football Teams, Cross - Country Team, managers and cheerlea<lers. are toeing honored ala pot luck dinner on Thursday. Dec. 10. at 6:00 p.m. You ami your family are cordially invited to attend this dinner which will be held in the High School Gym. Due to the type of program, we suggest that good judgement be exercised regarding the age of the children who should attend- Milk, coffee, rolls and butter are being furnished. and all other items on the menu arc to be furnished on a carry-in basis. We are very fortunate in being able to secure John Ray, the defensive coach of the great P.HM Notre Dame Irisjt as the speaker of the evening. Mr. Ray has received national acclaim for his work with the Notre Dame defensive unit this year. Chamber To Tour Plas Steel Plant Next Thursday The W alke ton Chamber of Commerce will hat as their reg. ular December me ting, a lunch, eon and tour at the new PlasStecl Products Plant at the west edge of \\ alke ton The meeting will begin promptly at noon with a butfet luncheon being served and the tour of the new plant following. At the end of this tour, any of the interested members of the chamber's party can visit the old plants also for a further look into their industry. Shamrocks Visit Two Foes This Week End The North Liberty Shamrocks, in qtiest of their first win of the season, will have two games this week end, both away f om home On Fnday night, Greene will host the Shamrocks for a 6:30 engagement at the Greene gym. Saturday, coach Bob Gowins boys will travel to Union Twp. to play the undefeated Tigers on their home court. This game is scheduled to start at 7 00 p.m. Indians Play Home And Away This Week End Walkerton’s undefeatixl Indians will have two games this week end. one at home and one away, hosting Bremen Friday night for a 6:45 engagement, then traveling on Saturday night to Greene for games there. Coach Jim Ridenour’s crew will be aiming for their fifth and sixth consecutive wins in these games as the Indians have already matched their winning total of last season. Tracy Fund To Bring Guest Tuesday Irv Wermont, nationally known humorist, author and educator, will deliver a lecture entitled "Humor-the greatest medicine in the World”, in the Walkerton Methodist Chun h at S:00 pm. on Tuesday, December 8, 1961. This lecture is made possible through the S P T’acy Memorial Fund through the Walkerton I*ublic Library. The public is invited to attend without charge to them.
