Receives Masters Degree At MSU In James M. Guttman, teacher of science in the Sheridan School, han been awarded the degree of Master of Arts fm- tM-hers by Michigan State University. During his year of study, Mr. Guttman achieved a 3.5 grade point average, thereby qualifying him to graduate with highest honors with a major in general science. P.T.A. Two Students In Junior Kiwanis Club Project The Kiwanis Club of South Bend has again invited the North Liberty High School to participate in the Junior Kiwanis project, along with the other schools of South Bend Community School Corporation. An outstanding senior boy is chosen to be Junior Kiwanian. The student attends the dinner meetings each Thursday. learning how to participate as a civic leader. i Jack Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jackson, was the representative for the first period. Jack is active in sports and was co-captain of the football team and a member of the basketball squad. He is also president of the Student Council. Dale Naragon. son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Naragon, will be the represetative for the second period. Dale is an outstanding student. He is president of the Honor Society. FFA, and 4-H; also class president aJI four years. He is a member of the Pep Cub and last summer was representative to Boy’s State. N. L. Adult Recreation The remainder of the adult recreation program up to Christmas vacation, is as follows: Women’s program, elementary gym: November 30th December 7 and 14 Men’s program: Dee 3 and 17, high school gym Adult mixed chorus, elementai-y Activities will begin again in music room. HT OPENS HOME GAMES NOV. 30 On November 30, the North Liberty Jr. High basketball teams open their home season with games against New Carlisk* at 4:15 p m., in the elementary gym. Coach Dunnuck’s boys divided their opening games last week at LaPaz The admission charges to all North Liberty home games is 10c for any student, and 25c for adults. DANCE AT NORTH LIBERTY ELEM.
