Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Fries and children of Tinley Park. 111., were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harry L. Fries. At their annual meeting this month, the Koontz Lake Conservation club held their election of officers with the results as follows: president, Clifford Allen; vice president. Mrs, William Michalski; treasurer. Mrs. Frances Koch; and secretary. Harry Fries. Also the following three hoard members: William Simpkins, Don Wolfenberger and James Garbett. However, residents of the lake area are very’ much divided on the time question, with some remaining on EST while others with children attending school, went back to CST and many others retaining both times on the clocks in their homes. Mr. and Mrs. Iz>uis Herbold entertained Mrs. Alma Stephens and daughter, also another daughter and husband. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Carlson of Chicago, on Sunday Modern Mothers Home Demonstration Club held their monthly meeting Monday. October 26, in the home of Mrs. Betty Jean Nihbelink, Grovertown. Election of officers was held with the following results: pres., Mrs. Nibbelink: vice president. Mrs. Ethelyn Young; secretary, Mrs. June Seese; treasurer. Mrs. Delia Thompson; health and safety. Mrs. Ollie Volkman and Mrs. Doris Allen; song leader. Mrs Carol Clark: reporter. Mrs. Doris Smith: cards and folwers. Mrs Donnell Howard There was one guest present. Mrs. Sandra Cook. Prize winners for the evening wore Mrs. Clark and Mrs. Young and mystery prize was won by Mrs. Cook It was voted that sls be donated to the 4-H leader, Mrs Sidnev Awald Next meeting will be in November at the home of Mrs. Allen. Mr and Mrs Raymond Smalt? of Gary, were week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. William Simpkins. Mrs. Gertrude Erickson and Mrs. Dorothy Green returned home after spending three weeks traveling in the western states. Mrs. Paul Prentiss is a medical patient in Cmmunity hospital, LaPorte. The Oregon-Davis P.T.A. will hold their fall carnival at the Grovertown High School, on Friday, October 30.
