HARPER COLUMBUS DAY 'THERE IS a story of an ~ Englishman who landed in New York and took a train for New Orleans. That must have peen before jets. Accustomed anly to short trips in his “tight little Island,” he prepared to leave the train as the first big tity was reached. But he was old that he had only reached Washington. So he remained aboard the rain and he decided to take a Krth. About noon the next day he train stopped at a large staSon and as he looked out the window and saw a large river he darted up with the question, *T« hat the Mississippi," “No,” he ‘as told, ’it is a long way jet to sew Orleans." Late in the afternoon, the train topped at quite a city. Again he tarted up but was told the place ias Mobile. When the great train lulled exit of Mobile, the Engluhpan drew a sigh of relief. E.U.B. Study Class Holds Discussion The WSWS of the E. U. R Church held a s]>ecial study class October 13 at the church. The textbook for tba atudy was “Spiritual Rebirth” by Paul Church and Bruce Hilton. From studying and discussing, tne following thoughts were brought forth: Jesus Christ is the source of spiritual renewal; individual persons need to relate themselves to Jesus Christ in a more meaningful way for their spiritual renewal; and the church fellowship finds renewal through Jesus Christ. , Mi ss Mi ram Auxier gave the devotiims with the fol’owing persons leading the study chapters: Mrs. David Eiler, Mrs. Robert Reeder. Mrs Ed Cole. Mrs. Walter Smith. Mrs Richard Kickbush. Mrs. Brook Bowers. Mrs Frank Hahn. Mrs. Ixwiard Beaty, and Mrs Fred Rr.!linger.
