AREA POLICE HUNT TWO YOUNG MEN
Walkerton PT A To Alternate Meetings The Walkerton P.T.A. met last Thursday evening at the High School Building. The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. It was decided to alternate the I*TA meetings monthly between the high school and grade school buildings in anticipation of increasing attendance. A report on the PTA membership drive was given by Mrs. Ludwig and an interesting talk was given by Mr. Kiene, guidance director of the high school faculty. - Colored slides, taken on their trip to the Holy were shown and briefly explained by Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Beaty. Parents were invited to tour the building and the teachers were in their rooms to converse with the parents. The meeting was closed with the group singing, directed by Charles Gorsline. Refreshments were served by the first and thirl grade room mothers with Mrs. Milner Capes, hospitality chairman. in charge. The November meeting will be held at the Elementary Building the third Thursday of the month Remember the Fish Fry November 7. Indians And Knox Meet Friday At Walkerton Two teams with identical 1-6 records will meet in football at Walkerton's park nn Friday night as the Indians host the Knox Redskins Both clubs are having their troubles winning this year and if comparative scores mean anything, they should be pretty well matched Game time is 7:30 and if you want to sec some good high school football this game should have all the thrills Shamrocks Play Final Home Game Saturday The North Liberty Shamrocks will have their final home game of the season Saturday afternoon as they will host the Rolling Prairie Bulldogs Polling has won twice this year as the Shamrocks will be seeking win number seven in their very successful season Game time is 2:00 pm. “Meet Your Candidate” On October 28 The NFO and Fnmiers Union are sponsoring a "Meet Your Candidate” meeting Wednesday. WABASH ROW S OUT The old Wabash Railroad, which has served North Liberty and community for manv manv years, will pass out of existence at 12:01 a m.. Friday this week when it becomes a part of the Norfolk and Western lines in a giant merger of six railroad systems. CARD PARTY The Johnson Township Farm Bureau is sponsoring a card party Saturday night. October 24. at 8:00 o’clock at the Johnson Twp Community Building.
