Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Skinner have as their hotme guests Mrs. Skinner’s sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Smith of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Love and son, of Mishawaka, were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur DeMyer and son. Mr. and Mrs. Milt Brown ami children of Kokomo were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Seitz. Mrs. Claire Thierry and daughter Marianne of Redwood City, California, were recent housr. guests of Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Hiler and daughter Sherry. Marianne and Sherry are schoolmates at St. Colletta School in Jefferson, Wisconsin. Mr, and Mrs. W. Straker returned to their home in Toledo, Ohio, after spending to weeks at their cottage at Koontz Lake and visiting her mother. Mrs. Clem Tuttle and family. Enroute home they stopped at Greenville Ohio, to visit her mother and relatives. A pot luck birthday dinner was held at the home of Mr. arxi Mrs. John Anspaugh in honor of her father, Edward Scarbrough’s 85th birthday. There were 66 relatives present including five children. 12 grandchildren and 29 great-grand-children. Those attending came from Valparaiso, Union Mills, Kingsford Heights. North Liberty, South Bend, Hanna and Walkerton. Mr Scarbrough received many gifts and a good time was enjoyed by all. Fish Lake, was feted at a farewell party In his home Thursday evening. prior to his leaving for college at Indiana State Teachers College. Fry; and Carolyn Mann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Mann, have begun their first full week of studies at Ball State Teachers College, Muncie. Athletic Boosters Membership Drive Is On After a good week of attaining memberships for the Walkerton Athletic Boosters, the drive will continue for the next few weeks with a goal of 500 set by pre?, ident John Powell for the 196165 season. Several activities are planned uxluding a Fish Fry on Saturday, September 26, at the Walkerton High School gym, to boost a very wigging treasury. Jerry Rairii is membership chairman for 1964-65, but any of the officers will be glad to sign anyone who is interested in the athletic programs of Walkerton and the schools. Membership for a year is SI.OO. Again many outlets are avai'able for the club's support, but one big one at present is the completing of the new Little League Baseball Park. A short movie will be shown of actual resuscitative efforts and a special mannequin imported from Europe will be present in order to instruct each individual on resuscitative techniques.
