Mr. and Mrs. Michael Kiehn left last Thursday for a week s vacation in Michigan and they were involved in an auto accident near Cadillac, Michigan, that evening. Their car was smashed an 1 bath were patients in the hospital there. Mr Kiehn has been released. but Mrs. Kiehn is still in the hospital However, she is expected to be released this week and will be brought home by Herman Kiehn of Chicago, who has a summer cottage here. Mr. and Mrs. B F. Wyatt of Chanute. Kansas, are spending a week as guests of Mr. .and Mrs. Roscoe Provence. Mr. Wyatt is a brother of Mrs. Provence Mr. and Mrs. Wdliam Murphy and son Billy, of Chicago were week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Newell. Mrs. Edward Deßryne, Norway. Michigan, and Mrs. Eleanor Pmtt. of Gary were guests of Mrs Oren Duthie one day last week. The Duthies son and daughter. Robert and Laurel, returned to classes at Indiana University this week. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Blackburn and two sons have moved from Chicago to a cottage on Kanrex Avenue this week and we welcome the newcomers. Athletic Boosters To Have Fish Fry Sept. 26 The Walkerton Athletic Boosters will have a fish fry on Saturday, S • ‘ember 26 in an effort to boast their treasury for the many events coming. The dinner will be he! I at the Walkerton High School gym and seiwing will be from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. The committee chapmen for tin night have been selected and any help would be appreciated by the chairman before the night of the fish fry. ^Community Club To Meet Friday Mrs. Chester Newman. South Bend, will be the speaker at the Walkerton Women’s C immunity Club when it meets al the Town Chib Friday, September IS. Mrs. Newman lias appeared in Walkton on several occasions and talked on her hobby of fine china and glass collection. Her topic for this visit will be "American Heirloom Glass." Each number is asked to bring to the meeting a favorite heirloom of china or glass for roll call. A social hour will be held prior to the meeting
