Mrs. Israel Hatton of Wesley Manor at Frankfort, Indiana, was the week end guest of Mr. and Mrs. Max Steele and family at Bass Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hocker and LeAnn, and Mr. and Mrs. Pete Johnson and family, were Monday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Balsley and Tanya for a chicken barbecue. Lloyd E. singleton Sr., who has been a patient at the Memorial hospital since July 28, underwent surgery for the second itme on Friday of last week. His condition is listed as fair. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Harbaugh entertained Monday evening with a chicken barbecue for Mr. and Mrs. John Harbaugh and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Harbaugh and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jon Buss and family. Mr. and Mrs. Terry Harbaugh. Mrs. Alma Harbaugh and Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Harbaugh. Tanya Balsley celebrated her fourth birthday with a party on Thursday afternoon. Games were played and refreshments of ice cream and cake were served from a table centered with a cake in the shape of a merry go round. A flannelgraph story of Noah and the Ark was given by Cheryl Winegar of South Bend. The invited guests were Jill Morris. Kristi Balsley, Karen Mortakis. Paula Vernon. Randy Hummer, David Schlarb and Chris Johnson, all of North Liberty, Ann Margaret Cullar of South Berd, and David Smoraske of Lakeville.
